David N. Bossie, the veteran conservative operative who has investigated the Clintons for more than two decades, has been named Donald Trump’s deputy campaign manager.
The Republican presidential nominee revealed his hire in a phone call with The Washington Post.
"A friend of mine for many years," Trump said, speaking from his office in New York. "Solid. Smart. Loves politics, knows how to win."
Bossie participated Thursday in strategy sessions at Trump Tower in New York where he was introduced to campaign aides and Trump associates, according to Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. ADVERTISING
Conway said Bossie would be assisting her with managing day-to-day operations and with strategic planning.
"He's a battle-tested warrior and a brilliant strategist," Conway said. "He's a nuts-and-bolts tactician as well, who's going to help us fully integrate our ground game and data operations, and help with overall strategy as my deputy."

Sounds like a good pick. Might he be Conway’s replacement? It’s a very smart move, managerially, to have someone ready to step up and replace an executive who’s not cutting the mustard.
When Bossie worked on Capitol Hill he used to wear his volunteer fire-fighter dress uniform to work to pick up chicks. Saw it myself in the Rayburn Cafeteria.

[David] Bossie has served for 20 years as a Montgomery County, Maryland volunteer firefighter. He lived in the firehouse for several years before his marriage. He met his wife, Susan, through his political work. As of 2010 they reside in Montgomery County with their four children.
Doesn't sound much like a one-percenter.
IIRC David Bossie was an aide to a elected Politician during the Impeachment of Hillbilly Clinton. He was an attack dog back then.

There have been so many changes, or appearances of changes, that I haven’t kept up.
Is conway “not cutting the mustard”? I hope he is an addition, not a replacement. With just over two months left in the campaign, it does not need another upheaval to take attention off the goal of defeating Hillary and winning.
