NFL QB Colin Kaepernick Set to Sit Out National Anthem Again on Military Night in San Diego
ABCNews ^ | September 1,2016 | Michael Edison Hayden

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has said he plans to sit out the national anthem tonight, just as he did in the preseason game against the Green Bay Packers last week and other games this summer before reporters took notice.

He says his protest will continue indefinitely. “When there’s significant change and I feel like that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent in this country, I’ll stand,” Kaepernick told reporters Sunday.

[snip] The timing of the Military Night is coincidental, a Chargers' spokesman told the San Diego Union-Tribune earlier this week, adding that the team sponsors a Salute to the Military once every preseason.

Chip Kelly already got the Goddell phone call. “Don’t play him”.

As someone posted—the coach or the NFL should leave him in the locker room until he is required to play.

No one wants to see this j*****s.

I don’t even watch football and this makes me angry.

I wonder how his adoptive family feels about this.

His family and his country gave him so many opportunities; this is how he shows his gratitude?

The NFL said “no” to the Dallas Cowboys putting a sticker on their helmets honoring the Dallas Police Officers murdered, but they let this useless a-hole disrespect the flag, and those who died protecting it, along with his right to play football.

“I want to watch the Salute to the Military. Who is broadcasting?”

If you wanna see that, better hope its not ES(PC)N.

Will ratings be up or down due to the extra free media exposure? That will tell you if the NFL cares.

Also, stick his nose in the corner since he’s being uncooperative and not a team player.

and put on the pointy hat.

Happened to John Elway in his rookie year....shortly after he lined up under guard. His front line ‘failed’ him numerous times till he learned the lesson

But put him on the no-fly list.

As a 53 year-old woman, half Czech and half Swedish/German, with some gray hairs and a few extra pounds (i.e., not likely a terrorist), who had to undergo the entire TSA invasive screening on a recent trip to Chicago to visit my dying father (in addition to giving me the pat-down, those lovely folks went through my entire suitcase, underwear and all), apparently because my contact lens solution bottle was too big, I agree.

Drudge has a link to an article (with picture) of socks supposedly worn by this doofus at practice. The socks have pigs wearing cop hats. According to the article, he’s been wearing them since about August 10th. Hope he never needs a cop.

AS with most forms of protest....absolutely he has the right to do what he will, that includes accepting the consequences for his behavior. In the 60s people were fire hosed, beaten, spit upon, and killed just because they rode a bus or sat at a lunch counter. They were yelled at and cursed and vilified in horrible ways.

Poor Colin has to endure being booed
