On Wednesday, Sept. 7, NBC News and MSNBC along with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America will host the The Commander-in-Chief Forum in New York City.
It will be one-hour forum where Clinton and Trump will answer questions about national security, military affairs and veterans issues in front of an audience mainly made up of members of the military. The two candidates will not be on the stage at the same time, but will instead go back to back.
Its worth nothing that Lauer is listed as a notable past member on the Clinton Global Initiatives website along with Anderson Cooper and Katie Couric.
In the past, a Clinton Foundation official has said that the journalists who are part of the foundation were never asked to pay the $20,000 member fee.
In fact, in 2012, we reclassified members of the media who participate as guests rather than members to acknowledge this distinction, the official has said.

NBC should be the first channel scratched from being able to moderate the debates.

Careful, there Bob!
It don’t take much around here lately to get you put on review for such words.
Actually, I’ll probably get put back on review (or worse) for this post.
Bump for...

As I’ve posted before, this concerns me more than anything else in the cycle.
Matt Lauer to an recently introduced restaurant patron seated near him:
“You are so F######G HOT! Can we go out sometime?”
“this concerns me more than anything else in the cycle.”
What’s your greatest concern?
Mine is that whoever becomes the candidate and he/she will have a better chance to beat Trump, or that there will be a huge wave of sympathy that spreads over the entire democratic party and propels their candidate to victory.
My concern is that, knowing the media has her back, she is just coasting to a prearranged win in the general election.
I still hold the opinion that the 2012 election was as much thievery. At the point that the media called the election for Obamugabe (recall, only 1% reporting), every urban precinct simply stopped counting and reported every ballot to be for Obama. To quote an internet sensation: “Ain’t nobody got time for that!”
That can happen again in 2016 and I have no idea how to stop it.
Mean time she'll be propped up in that comfy 'ole chair away from any possible flashes of light off somebody's jewelry* and any mean 'ole unfriendly attacks (such attacks being reasonable questions).
*I'm sure all phones/cameras with flash will be confiscated.
Lester Holt, NBC Nightly News Anchor will be first debate Moderator. Lauer isn’t listed for any of the debates.
I think you are right. Although Trump can hold his own, it reminds me a bit of how Palin got the shaft with Katy Courik. It’s very important that the right person handles a forum.
I wondered how they'd load her almost dead body onto the stage without the Weekend at Bernie's effect.
THIS "military" audience is NOT friendly.
This is from their site: "Demand that Trump apologize immediately to all veterans everywhere." It doesn't say WHY Trump should apologize instead of the bitch.
You are correct. Right on their site it says that Trump must apologize to all veterans. It doesn’t say why or what he needs to apologize for.
Thanks.
:)
You’re welcome. :)
Have a great Labor Day weekend. :)
Wow! I’m glad I read every single post. This could be a wonderful opportunity for Trump. I hope he insists that they have loyal American vets in the same amount as George Soros’s hacks.
In any case, he gets an opportunity to present George Soros as the string puller and Hitlery as his Mini-Me sock puppet. Soros was Arrow Cross (Hungarian Nazi Party) as a teenager in Hungary.
Resembles Up-Chuck Todd and ya cant get any slimier than that
Will Trump inform viewers of Lauer’s bias, or will they never be able to tell that the NBC star is politically allied with Mrs. Bill?
No, “everyone” doesn’t know it: few actually do. The American people have full faith in NBC News.
Howard K. Smith was pro-Kennedy in the 1960 debates; did Mr. Nixon say a word?
