On Wednesday, Sept. 7, NBC News and MSNBC along with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America will host the The Commander-in-Chief Forum in New York City.
It will be one-hour forum where Clinton and Trump will answer questions about national security, military affairs and veterans issues in front of an audience mainly made up of members of the military. The two candidates will not be on the stage at the same time, but will instead go back to back.
Its worth nothing that Lauer is listed as a notable past member on the Clinton Global Initiatives website along with Anderson Cooper and Katie Couric.
In the past, a Clinton Foundation official has said that the journalists who are part of the foundation were never asked to pay the $20,000 member fee.
In fact, in 2012, we reclassified members of the media who participate as guests rather than members to acknowledge this distinction, the official has said.

Priests needs to shut this one down..
Why not? i like him. But i would still like to see Alan West or another Military person of his caliber. Alan is smart, smart, smart. He thinks on his feet and is completely poised at all times. He would make a fantastic moderator.
They call it a forum. I’d just call it a couple of interviews.
Hillary will like it because she can sit down.
Trump will like it because it’s more exposure.
Great, another rigged “debate” - oops, “forum”.
Will Candy Crowley be there? Katie Couric?
The only thing Matt Lauer should be “moderating” is a Kartrashian food fight.
One suspects that Hillary and her team have already delivered the questions and follow-ups to the obedient Mister LauerIt came out recently that all of the top MSNews outlets run controversial stories by Clinton/dem people before publishing.
Mrs Bill (the assaulter of women and rapist) Clinton always insisted ongetting questions beforehand when going on any broadcast shows.
This will be a sham, Trump should not attend.
IF he does, Hillary should go first with all of the questions and then Trump should do a rebuttal.
No back and forth to give Hillary a chance to twist what Trump says.
Hillary hashtag: #ComplyOrDie
Just relax Mat it will be painless.
Flipping through the “Trump Hater” networks this morning, I was subjected to a DON Donald video portraying Mr. Trump in an incredibly evil light. I couldn’t change channels soon enough.
Thank you. I agree!
“Mr. Trump, Who is the Assistant to the Assistant Finance Minister in Singapore?”
“Secretary Clinton, When do all the leaves change in pretty colors up in Chappaqua?”
Hillary during her campaign will not speak more than 8 minutes.
She only makes about a 15 minute appearance until they roll her away.
I heard she sleeps like 18 hours a day.
They seem to have the same tailor.
Lauer is a dim wit.
I think Greta shpuld get to moderate a debate. To me, she is one of the mst fair and balanced news people out there. She was the only one to give Sarah Palin a fair shake in 2008.
The fact that NBC-BS and PMS-NBC have ANYTHING to do with this “forum” tells me all I need to know about how fair and balanced it will be. Comments like these:
“Mrs. Clinton, don’t you look lovely in your pink burka this evening.”
“Hey, Trump, your hair’s blowin’ in the wind”
The debates start September 26 at Hofstra. This is a canidate forum similar to what the Clinton News Network did during the Republican Primary with Anderson Cooper.
This is B/S. Yet another Clinton sidekick is now in charge, for crying out loud. Maybe Rush should do the next one, or better still Tucker Carlson or Catherine Herridge.
Do you know Alan? I do. He would be excellent in every way. He listens. He is very smart and well balanced. Knows how to control situations if they start to get get out of hand. I’d be very comfortable with him as moderator and he would be able to avoid any trick questions.
Cocaine for everyone?
Matt Lauer?! What, Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t available?!
