Wednesday, August 31, 2016: LIVE: Donald Trump and Mexican President Nieto News Conference

I somehow get the feeling that Jared is a bigtime shot-caller in the Trump campaign, and that Trump trusts him as much as his sons.
Priebus is STARTING to impress me, VERY HAPPY these men went along for moral support!!!!
No way she goes down there now.
The implication that she's following Trump's lead could not be dodged.
Same with Louisiana. She may go for a feelgood Red Cross fundraiser or something, but certainly will not get her hands dirty on the ground with the victims.

I notice that all the Trump surrogates always seem happy when interviewed regardless of the network. Why are they so happy?

She will go. One had to go first and one second. If she had gone first would Trump be following her lead? I do not think there is a chance she will not accept the invitation. I would be surprised. No reason for her not to.
Please provide pictures of Reagan bowing to a leader or leaders of other countries.
Yea, lets see her ideas to fix the border, wait, nothing to fix in her eyes.
I am sure you can google same. If it was protocol..you can bet Reagan followed protocol. Reagan would never ever insult a world leader in their counntry. Never. (Remember when W had to wear that silly outfit and dance??) It was painful..but he did it.
I agree. It will be interesting to see if she comes up with anything at all.
This was not anticipated by anyone, and I certainly don't think Trump called to give her a head's up or coordinate the visits.
Yes, the only difference between today's event and one that might be held next year is that Trump's podium today also has a matching Mexican seal on it while next year it will have the POTUS seal. Throughout the conference it was obvious who was the senior partner on the stage, despite Trump's current status as a "private citizen".
This was a coup de théatre that puts Hillary's playbook into disarray. Trump is now poised to leverage this from here through at least the first debate. You can almost here the lines now: "When I spoke with the Mexican president just last month we agreed that...", etc.
From here on out it will appear that Hillary is challenging an incumbent seeking re-election. Her campaign must be reeling, even if she hasn't quite figured out what just happened.
Also, bowing to them is not what some seem to think it signifies...it is not a sign of being subservient..it is just a show of respect. They have no problem bowing to each other. It is not demeaning in their eyes.
They were never to go at the same time. I think she will go. I could be wrong..but there is no reason for her not to go.
Bingo. Trump is roaming around in the Clinton campaign playbook creating havoc.
Trump will never bow to another leader.
Have any of you ever see the Queen bow to anyone? No,and you won’t ever. She represents her country and she is it’s sovereign.
Trump just wouldn’t do it, protocol or not. He respects America too much to bow. It is in his DNA to stand tall & lead and you can’t do that when you bow.
Put the NYC attitude in the mix and it’s a big fat NO WAY.
No. You prove your nonsense.
Part of US culture, since the founding fathers, is that a POTUS never ever bows to a foreign leader. NEVER. This was in response to the American value that all men are created equal especially in the face of Royalty.
I think we all need to just address him as President Trump from now on.
