Tough-talking former U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Brian Mast scored a stunning upset Tuesday in the GOP primary for Florida's "battleground" 18th District.

Mast won the Republican nomination for the open seat by rolling up 38 percent of the vote over five opponents.

The runner-up with 27 percent was Rebecca Negron, Martin County School Board member and wife of incoming State Senate President Joe Negron.

The triumph of Mast, 35 in the district that runs from Fort Pierce to Palm Beach, Fl., was the latest in a string of wins in Republican primary battles for major office this year by first-time candidates who defeated better-funded office-holders who were favored for nomination by the Republican establishment.

Congratulations, Brian Mast, my wife and I both cast our votes for you. In 2014, Carl Domino, a terrible, weak candidate was politically slaughtered by his Democrat opponent, another useless, weak sister, empty suit, Patrick Murphy. The good news is, Pat Murphy is now to oppose, Marcio Rubio for the Senate seat, come November. Based on the primary trunout & vote casr, last evening.....Murphy is politically, dead-in-the-water. Both Trump & Rubio will have major victories on November 8th in Florida!! Bank on it!!!

Then how do you explain McCain, Rubio and DWS, not to mention Ryan?

The new Trump voters don't do primaries, they don't do down tickets (though if they are already voting for Trump they are likely to either vote Republican or anti-incumbent).

TRUMP had a couple of reasons for his rather meek endorsement..

One, Trump had a gun in his back to do so, held as a down payment for RNC support.

Second, Trump recognized the math, the probabilities favoring a win for McCain and even Rubio.

Trump is as un-enthusiastic about these two RINOS as I am. They need to make themselves scarce on the Hill if they can’t catch the train.

McCain got <52% of the vote. For a powerful incumbent with many millions to spend and total name recognition, that is a pee-poor showing. I never heard or saw a single ad from his opponents...maybe a 30:1 advertising advantage.

Unfortunately most of the rest of Florida succumbed to the GOPe. Our establishment mentality here makes me sick.

As the Uniparty government has massively expanded since 9/11, millions more Americans every year become parties to it, entrenched in it, enriched by it.

Well that’s just great. But how do I get to be a part of that? I want to piece of the pie too.
