:: does intimidation and coercion go deeper than we realize ::

This a concept that Trump will not overcome. I have spent most of my formative years in “urban” America (Detroit). My career took me to other “urban” areas (Chicago). Make no mistake, the urban areas can carry an election, if presented appropriately.

You, FingersXd, have hit on the “funny-bone” of urban politics. I don’t think that Trump can overcome the intimidation of LIVE voters. What we should -realistically- count on is that many in the urban areas will SIMPLY just stay home and not vote.

That is not to say that the dead of Resurrection Cemetery in Argo IL won’t vote, but may they be small sampling of the poll.

I live in a county that used to be heavily DEM with a large black population all concentrated in 1 city. I was asked to participate in overseeing the actual vote counting at the courthouse.

The outlying cities were many smaller rural cities, but also a city that was the result of the large air for base their. So those areas were mostly Republican.

Once I got settled in at the courthouse, I found out that the large black city was always the last to send their ballots. And there would ALWAYS be enough votes to beat the Republican votes that came earlier....ALWAYS.

I was coming out of the bathroom and I heard a couple of Men talking...they were Dem party ppl...the 1 guy said, how much you got coming in from. xyz...the other guy said, let me know what you need.

Honest story. To this day, even with growing Rep voters and losing Dems as the city xyz had lost a lot of its population, this county has never went Republican.

Friends I have from the base say it totally pisses them off, that they bring in a good part of the county revenue, but have no say in the county politics.
