My take is the that Trump will tell this guy very politely that there will be a “wall tax” on every Chevrolet, Ford,Dodge, Toyota vehicle coming across that border”.

He will go on to say that “you might as well get used to that because it is going to happen”.

Since the cost of that wall amortized over 20 years is pennies compared to the trade involved, little pup Mexico will have no choice but bend over.

The biggest source of income for Mexico is remittances sent home from Mexicans working (mostly illegally) in the US. It is a bigger source of income than their oil industry. Simply taxing those remittances will pay for the wall in a hurry.

And the looming threat of shutting that money flow down will focus Nieto’s attention wonderfully. I suspect that we will see a lot of interest in cooperation from Mexico for the first time in over 50 years.
