MIAMI Senator Marco Rubio of Florida was nominated for a second term by Republican voters on Tuesday, five months after suspending his presidential campaign. He will face Representative Patrick Murphy, a two-term House Democrat, in one of the crucial races for control of the Senate.
The primary results appeared to point to a preference among voters in Florida, a pivotal swing state, to eschew more extreme candidates on the right and the left in favor of establishment lawmakers favored by national party leaders.
In another important primary race, Senator John McCain of Arizona, a Republican seeking a sixth term, faces a challenge from his right from Dr. Kelli Ward, a family doctor and a former state senator. The winner will probably face a tough race against Representative Ann Kirkpatrick, who has made it a point of her campaign to court Latinos and American Indians in an increasingly diverse state.
In Florida, Mr. Rubio, who was asked by Republican leaders to jump into the Senate race after saying initially that he would not seek re-election, defeated Carlos Beruff, a wealthy Gulf Coast homebuilder. Mr. Beruff, who is Cuban-American and spent $8 million of his own money on his Senate bid, is an enthusiastic supporter of Donald J. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee. Mr. Rubios Democratic opponent, Mr. Murphy, bested Representative Alan Grayson, a liberal provocateur who was favored by many progressives but faced ethics investigations in the House and accusations that he had abused his former wife.

I’m not unhappy with Little Marco winning. I think and unknown would lose to the D in the general election.
That’s too bad.
Hope the Democrats don’t put up that loon
I thought the whole big story all along was that he couldn’t run once he ran for president.
If it gives us a better chance at holding the seat, i’m fine with it. Doesn’t matter if i am or not, lol, i’m not from FL
This was somewhat expected. What I really want to know is John McCain’s electoral fate.
The loon (Grayson) is losing to Pat Murphy. The loon’s wife is losing too. Debbie Wasserman Schultz seems safe.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out about John McInsane because of the time zone differences.
For those who may not remember, Pat Murphy is the Rat who beat Allen West after the state GOP left him unprotected during redistricting.
Rubio says one thing in spanish and the opposite in English. I sure am not voting for him.
> schew more extreme candidates on the right and the left in favor of establishment
What a joke.
I voted today, for Beruff. I went at 4:00 and was number 55.
He had the assistance of a crooked supervisor of elections too
I’m not in FL, but I’m pretty sure I would not.
Politicians betray me once, then I vote against them.
I voted for the Democrat against Cantor when the first primary try failed.
We Cantorized him the next time.
Every district with a weasel who is helping the fraudulently documented foreigners and their employers must remove them from office.
It is a good sign unless zero puts Homeland Security in charge of our elections. How many ways can they spell fraud? I wish to God he would have been impeached years ago.
Ugh. Why do they keep voting for DWS? She is as crooked as Hillary,.
We need Rubio to campaign for Trump. Trump needs help with the Hispanics.
Well we can still hope for a bolt of lightening!!!
Believe me people in Arizona are waiting for the primary results also.
GO KELLI
