As an employer, I’m required to keep on file, an I-9 form verifying the employee is authorized to work in the US. The fines range from $375 to $16,000 per violation, with repeat offenders receiving penalties, at the higher end. Penalties for substantive violations, which includes failing to produce a Form I-9, range from $110 to $1,100 per violation.

Point is, the laws are already on the books. Instead of hunting down 9-12 million illegals, start fining a few dozen employers with maximum penalties. Wallah, “no workee, no stayee”. If you are here illegally, you receive no benefits, drivers liscence, no health care, etc.

It sounds harsh but if your children are citizens and you’re not, that’s a problem created by you and not me.

Yep. Illegal aliens and their employers know that they can get away with it because the laws aren’t enforced.
