While the American Legion is hosting its 98th lavish National Convention, with Hillary Clinton and Robert McDonald as guests, on Wednesday, August 31, the veteran community has been struck with "yet another" unglamorous tragedy: our "yet another" 76-year-old veteran shot himself on August 21 after being denied care.

Maybe I should have left that part out since all the details aren’t or probably will never be known by us. The main point was the AL uppper echelon and hildabama. Tacit endorsement?
I don’t think VFW is connected to American Legion.
While on vacation this spring, I happened to meet a couple of American Legion regional leaders who were travelling to a convention. They urged me to join. Later, in our town’s Fourth of July parade, there were some bikers with American Legion jackets. I told my husband that my goal now is to retire and join an American Legion motorcycle gang.
I will look more carefully at the organization before I join, though. Their decision to invite Hillary to speak at a meeting is a definite red flag. (I wonder how much did they “donate” to her “foundation” in order to hear her screech?)
VFW and AL are two different orgs. Do they speak for all their members? Doubtful but the head cheese makes the statements and accepts invitee’s to their events.
Slow down; Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will both address the American Legion’s 98th national convention.
Clinton will address the convention on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
Trump will address the convention on Thursday, Sept. 1.
The American Legion is comprised of military veterans. Clinton is as popular with Legion members as she is with the active military force, which is to say Trump will get the votes of most members.
I was wondering if they would provide equal time. Never the less, her “gracing” them with her presence is disturbing to me. At her event here in Reno the other day she apparently provided very little substance and instead went in to attack “B” mode making all sorts of rhetorical claims about the divisiveness of Trump and his hate groups. If progressives get enough power, they will mass murder old Americans. Especially the whitey ones.
Military who served over seas during war action, land or sea, not necessarily in the war zone. VFW must have served in war zone land or sea. (I think)
