In an interview, Paul Wolfowitz, 72, an advisor to former President Bush, discusses the dangers of a Donald Trump presidency, why he will likely vote for the Democrat’s candidate this year and mistakes made during the Iraq war. […]

Spiegel: Recently, 50 former senior Republican security officials declared Donald Trump to be a security risk. Is he?

Wolfowitz: Yes, he is.

Spiegel: Why?

Wolfowitz: He says he admires Putin, that Saddam Hussein was killing terrorists, that the Chinese were impressive because they were tough on Tiananmen Square. That is pretty disturbing. […]

Spiegel: Who are you going to vote for in November?

Wolfowitz: I wish there were somebody I could be comfortable voting for. I might have to vote for Hillary Clinton, even though I have big reservations about her. …

Wolfowitz is one of the neocon architects of the failed “nation building” strategy that has failed so spectacularly in Iraq and Afghanistan. Like McNamara, he has developed a convenient case of amnesia regarding the failures his policies begat.

Politicians and folks inside the Beltway are too close to the trees to see the forest.

That's why we regular old Americans have the wisdom to see the truth...and they don't.

He wasn’t running in 2000. But even if he did, he could have kept Dubya out of the running like he did with Jeb, and it would have been worth it to see the look on Gore’s face in reaction to the nomination.

I know perfectly well that Trump didn’t run in 2000.

It was a counter-factual fantasy.....

In 2000 we got a choice between John McVain and George W. Bush, with Alan Keyes and Steve Forbes never able to get traction.

I’d simply like to go back to 2000 and have a do-over with the Donald Trump of 2016.

The implication was that Wolfowitz never would have gotten into a high position in the Pentagon, and many many other things might have gone better in the past 16 years. But who knows, historical what-ifs always involve a lot of guesswork... change one factor and many other things change, too.

I didn’t comment yesterday because it infuriated me. These so called “Republicans” WILL vote for a LIAR, a TRAITOR, a CHEAT instead of a guy with a vision, the vision of Making America Great Again.

The Bush and Romney Families have done and are doing a great disservice to America. The followers and friends of these families are just as bad and should have a Scarlet Letter tattooed on their forehead to give us peons warning of their hatred towards America and us, the working stiffs who Trump represents.

Just another R.A.T (Republicans Against Trump), good riddance!

The Bushes have quite a following don’t they. From mama Bush adopting Clinton to Senior Bush helping Clinton out in Haiti. Nice bunch!

HE, the Wolf, and Killary plus Soetoro are the reason for instability in M.E. and North Africa!

Saddam Hussein was a buffer and knew how to keep IRAN in check. GWB miscalculated invasion in Iraq, and as DJT says, we should have kept the oil after Saddam kicked out of Kuwait. The sheiks there should NEVER have been allowed back to power there either !!

Gadhafi was another similar buffer in North Africa. President Reagan put him in his right place and so did GWB !!!
