I joined the Freep in 1997, I believe. At the time, The Simpson’s was a popular show and I liked Boss Burns when he’d release the hounds on any bad guys. The Clintons were the bad guys and I loved the image of hungry hounds in pursuit.

My son started martial arts at the age of 5 in a Korean art named Tang Soo Do, similar to Tai Kwon Do. He stuck with it until he received his 2nd degree black belt. I particiapated with him for about 3 years until a bad fall cracked my shoulder and neck (still hurts after 15 years). The phrase, "Tang Soo" was used at our school as a form of greeting, so my handle is a way of saying, "Hello".
By the way, our federation was run by C.S. Kim in Monroeville Pa - just east of Pittsburgh. C.S. Kim was the All-Asia champion twice during the 1960s and was Chuck Norris' first instructor when he was stationed in S. Korea while in the Air Force.

I volunteered for the Air Force in 1968. After they tested me they said they would train me as a jet-engine mechanic. I went through the pyschical ant they pulled me aside and said - no go, heart murmur.
I appealed at the Boston Navy Hospital. No go.
So I drove my motorcycle to Los Angeles, met a lot girls then San Francisco and met different kinds of girls. Went back to LA then left after a year.
After that, I was an A student until I graduated.
I hated when some hippie said I was another draft dodger.

Entropy is the hardest entity in physics to quantify. So it has always stuck in my mind throughout my mechanical engineering work career. And 12 is my lowest golf handicap number.

“The Next” evolution in human understanding. I have several non-fiction books written out in my head & formally outlined. I found original ideas after decades of research. But e-books are like selling your emails, no profit, beginning around the year 2000 rise of the internet. And no time for seminars yet.
Many things such as a cure for procrastination. Your child avoiding homework is easily curable, non abusively. It has a near 100% success rate.
Copyright is concerning, so compartmentalize and chit chat on the web. Life is too short.

Back in 2008 I did not support Mitt Romney in the primaries. (It ended up to be a moot point, because he was not the RNC nominee anyway). The site was so GOPe that I was hounded off because I was too far to the Right. I also invented the name “The Lyin’ King” for obama, and the administrator said I was disrespectful.
I had been lurking on FR for years and so I signed up as “left that other site”.
To this day people think I left some left-wing site after some kind of epiphany! LOL!
But that’s my story and I am sticking to it.

I’m a big fan of Mel Gibson and the movie “MadMax” and “Road Warrior”.
Hence, MadMax which was originally “MadMax the Road Warrior” at FR. But somehow it got changed to” MadMax, the Grinning Reaper” and I liked it. I recall a cartoon character who was a little grinning reaper but I have no idea what it was called.
About Obama and the Dems. “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it”. Another reason to be moniquered as “MadMax”.

Back in the days BC (before computers) the striped bass of the Western Atlantic was known as roccus saxatilis. Then sometime in the late 60's when icthyologists were digitizing their records, they found out that there was a fish in the Mediteranean Sea that had the same name. Since the Mediteranean fish had been named earlier than the Atlantic fish, it kept the name and taxonomists decided to call our striped bass morone saxatilis. I never much liked the new name so I continued to use the old name on my boats when I fished the NY Bight and LI Sound and still use it often when referring to stripers.
