I can't believe that Rush really said this, but there is the transcript. He is trying to artfully conceal the fact that he is a NeverTrumper, but he betrays himself in statements like this. Does Rush understand that he is undermining Trump with such talk? If he succeeds, does he understand that Hillary is the result?

I was watching Shep Smith this afternoon and he was talking to somone who was defending Trump’s change of attitute. That sob Shep Smith kept bringing up Trump’s attitude from 2015 and how he wanted to deport them all etc. And everytime the person talked about Trump’s change of attitude that idiot kept bringing up what Trump said in 2015 I could have punched him in his friggen trap
The same folks who chided Trump for his “attitude” are now stabbing him in the back on this issue for “flipping”. The same folks who backed Rubio and Cruz through their “flip flops” are now stabbing Trump in the back on this. Total hypocrites.
It’s all hot air. The reality is this is just another “issue” to club Trump with to depress his support and throw the election to Hillary Rotten Criminal.

Trump is right, that I would vote for Trump, because I know what happens if the Dems get in.
But this is one thing he was so firm on, and got people thinking he was different that every pol before him.
I am waiting to hear what his position and policy is once he gets past all the hemming and hawwing and avoiding giving the straight answer we want.
My concern is this also, are there other issues and positions he is getting ready to change on.
In other words, are the core Trump voters going to be taken for granted, as Dems have taken their reliable core voters. Promising so much, delivering little.

I’m not making any accusations, but the implications are clear enough for anyone to discern for themselves.
Does Rush have more clout during a Trump administration or a Clinton administration?
There-in lies the big dilemma.
During the Clinton years many people trashed Clinton. Then he left office and they swooned over his record and promoted Leftist policy stridently. So they weren’t anti-Leftists after all. They were merely disgusted with him to build credibility. Then many of them moved to MSNBC.
Rush stands out very well against a sitting Clinton. Afterwards he seems to be a fish out of water. He couldn’t come up with cutting edge stuff under Bush, and now with Trump he’s baffled again, how to react.
Rush has to many friends in the mainstream. He’s an RNC GOPe acolyte. What else is there to day.
The guy is failing Conservatism right now.

There are time when he is criticized and I listen to his show and find out he wasn’t near as bad as described.
