Being from Staten Island, you are no doubt familiar with the Ground Zero mosque, which was planned to be built close to Ground Zero in Manhattan.
It took years, but that project was finally scrapped late last year. Even its name,Al Cordoba,was a reference to Cordoba,Spain, the site of a great Muslim victory when the Moors conquered Spain.
This is but another way Islam subjugates the people it conquers.
For 1400 years, it has converted the buildings of the peoples it conquers to mosques, or builds a mosque on the site of a great victory.
In Pisa, this is just a stick in the eye to the Christianity of Italy. It is deliberate. It is planned. It is not a random act.
