There’s only one answer to this. Farmers should cut back their production of food by 50%. Soon there wouldn’t be so many people living in cities.

If you look at voting precincts, you’ll see there is a hard & consistent division between Left & Right right on urban & rural divisions.

The article comes from the assumption that rural voters don’t have something to be pissed off about. What a bunch of azzhats!

“Likewise, rural areas tend to be less educated than urban areas.”

Proverbs 17:16 It does a fool no good to spend money on an education, because he has no common sense.

The rural southwest area is heavily in favor of Donald Trump, the Washington Post/ABC News poll found, while the DC suburbs are by far Clinton country.

Big surprise there. Those making their livelihoods off big government prefer big government candidates.

I live in Manhattan. I’ve done pretty well in the Obama economy, but I see the prosperity as a facade, behind which a depression continues to ravage the country.

So where do I fit in this narrative?

In the old days, say 2008 and prior, the “less educated” demographic spewed by the sick media used to be called “blue collar workers”.

“Blue Collar workers” are now politically worthless to the Democratic party since they’re typically white and very angry.

Since they don’t fit into Democratic plans, they are now given a label that dehumanizes them ... “less educated” or “non-college degree”.

This is one of many examples of why the Democratic party and their allies in the GOPe makes me want to projectile vomit.

Likewise, rural areas tend to be less educated than urban areas.

Sort of reminds me of those conversations where the other feller says "don't know why you don't like me," and then slaps you in the face. There's a certain lack of education there, to be sure, but it may not be where NPR thinks it is.
