| Wow, he most definitely hit it out of the park. Everyone needs to read or hear this speech. And I loved how he tied in so many threads of his campaign message into this powerful speech. You gotta love how Trump communicates in these prepared speeches. He does it in words that every American can understand. Simply, directly, with love - and hitting the touch points of Americans in just the right way. What a leader! This man can truly unite the country. Sure, the timing of the speech was a perfect response to this week's Milwaukee violence. But knowing Trump, he no doubt planned this kind of speech long in advance and was ready to deliver it when big city violence tensions were high. He also beautifully worked in today's dishonest media attacks into the speech: he made it clear the media elites, lobbyists, and Hillary are all on the same team and conspiring against the peoples' will. The speech was certainly Reaganesque. And I think we must also admit: when Trump wants to communicate something important to the American people, he can do it as well as anyone we've ever seen. |
