This isn’t his first hit-job. He’s probably this more than once or twice.
What’s the morel of this story?
Interestingly, 1st degree murder in NY is reserved for "special circumstances", for example, killing police officers but also includes contract killings. So that may still happen. New York doesn't have a death penalty, so the distinction is less meaningful than in many other states.
>>> Also, why 2nd degree murder and NOT 1ST DEGREE? How much more 1st degree does someone have to get?
The only thing I can think of is that a bargain had been dealt, and some other guy(s) will be fingered shortly.
I don’t buy it either. He did this intentionally, it should be 1st/
"Under New York criminal law, murder in the first degree is one of several forms of homicide, or conduct which causes the death of a person. Other forms of homicide include second-degree murder, manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and abortion. Intentional murder is elevated to first-degree murder when, with the intent to cause the death of another person, a defendant causes the death of such person or a third person and any one of twelve aggravating factors is present. A person charged with first-degree murder must be more than 18 years old at the time of commission of the crime.
"The aforementioned aggravating factors focus on the identity of the intended victim (police officers, certain peace officers, correctional employees, judges, witnesses), the circumstances in which the murder was committed (while the defendant was serving a life sentence, during the commission of a specified felony ("felony murder"), for hire, accompanied by torture, in furtherance of a terrorist act), or the nature of the killing(s). Applying the definition of first-degree murder to the first of these factors, it follows that a defendant whose intended victim is a police officer engaged in the course of his or her official duties will be guilty of first-degree murder if the defendant kills a civilian bystander instead. However, a defendant who intends to kill a civilian is not guilty of first-degree murder if he or she instead accidentally kills a police officer."

If this was 2nd degree, can I get an example of 1st degree?
Sure looks like a muzzard to me!
The media is always obsessed with ethnicity. Wondering why they haven’t told us the ethnicity of this guy.
If they weren’t telling me the guy is hispanic, I would put my money on Middle Eastern
Hispanic.. That's like them showing us 0dunga's mother's photo and telling us 0dunga is white. DO THEY THINK WE'RE THIS STUPID?
Nope.......**crickets** on ethnicity. Which almost always means........muzzie.
I'm surprised they didn't blame it on a video. Yesterday I read that the shooter may have been settling a score in a muzzie-hispanic feud. That was in The NY Daily News.
I had a fellow at a walmart look at me with eyes like that once. I don’t go to that walmart anymore.
Was his name Fred Garvin, male prostitute?
NOOOOOO!! He’s a custodian at the New School? Seriously??
Please, y’all, he is busy setting up his Obambie Foundation. I hear it’s all about climate “change” and how he’s going to save the world through global fundraising.
If the Clinton’s can pull off their Clinton Fauxdation he is sure his will far surpass theirs.
The "New School" is one of the most far-left educational institutions in NY (a city which is very far-left to begin with). It was founded by Communist intellectuals escaping Germany.
We’ll need a link to that if you please. I read a Daily News article this morning that was no more than speculation and, if you read between the lines, a perverse hope by those close to the victim that it was more than just the latest instance of retaliation in a long-running Muslim-Hispanic feud.
Thank you.
