please read the comment i was replying too. I am intimately familiar with the history of the Philippines I sleep with it every night and her uncles were Ba’taan and killed by the Japanese the day before they evacuated ahead of MacArthur’s return.
All those years in the Philippines didm’;t stop the Japs from heading straight for pearl.

So were mine! Imagine that.
One disappeared somewhere on the way to Capas (the Death Camp at O’Donnell), probably died on the Death March, another died in Capas. Both have their names on the memorial.

Every single relative of mine is a survivor of Manila, Feb-Mar 1945. Every one had a story. And etc. and etc. I’ve got material for a series of novels if I wanted to do that.
