For the first time in over two-and-a-half years, the women of Manbij, Syria walked with their faces uncovered Saturday, some of them even setting their niqabs on fire. Men shaved or trimmed their beards. Smokers of both sexes lit up and puffed away.
U.S.-backed fighters seized the key northern Syria city late Friday after two months of heavy fighting that killed more than 1,000 people and displaced thousands more. The fighters also freed hundreds of civilians the extremists had used as human shields, Syrian Kurdish officials and an opposition activist group said.
Amateur videos showed civilians hugging fighters from the predominently Kurdish Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) after being evacuated from the final ISIS-held neighborhood.
"May God destroy them. They slaughtered us," a young man shouted in a Manbij square. "May they not live for a minute."
In a photo posted online by Kurdish activists, a young woman defiantly uncovered her face while smoking a cigarette and flashing a victory sign.

In the end, the remaining ISIS were allowed to convoy out in hundreds of cars, reportedly protected by 2,000 civilian hostages (possibly including their family members).
Prior to that, it had been a real meat grinder for the ISIS foreign jihadis. They lost a boatload of their English speakers in Manbij - Thank You Kurds!
And how many will continue following their death cult of islam? Death and destruction is their credo.

We are in a weird Civil War by proxy in the Syria.
The Obama Administration is training, arming, advising and supplying Islamic terrorists including elements of ISIS via CIA and State Dept sources to achieve policy goals of the Obama Administration.
At the same time the US Military is training, arming, advising and supplying the Kurds and select Iraqi forces to fight the terrorists as rear guard action given it's authority from it's residual anti terror mission in the region in direct opposition to the Obama Administration and it's goals.
The Obama Administration does not dare to over ride the US Military on this one because it would give away Obama’s direct support of terrorists and terrorism, but the Obama Administration does everything in it's power to obstruct and hamstring the military, while it openly supports the terrorists.
It’s f###ing treason.
