Calling all Californians. Protect your gun rights from the evil left! Go to local gun store and sign Petition!
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Announcements; Constitution/Conservatism; US: California
KEYWORDS: banglist; california; gunrights
Veto Gunmageddon is a group of volunteers dedicated to overturning the recent draconian gun laws passed by the California legislature and signed by Governor Jerry Brown. We are gun owners from all over California who watched with disbelief as the California Legislature bypassed normal procedure to pass strict and clearly unconstitutional gun laws.
We have come together and formed VETO GUNMAGEDDON, CITIZENS OF CALIFORNIA WHO ARE OPPOSED TO PROPOSITION 63, ASSEMBLY BILLS 1135, 1511, 1695, 857 AND SENATE BILLS 880, 1235 AND 1446. FPPC#1387279.
We are 100% volunteer, and our primary focus is to exercise the peoples veto (a referendum) to put all 7 laws in front of the voters to decide, and hopefully overturn these unconstitutional laws.
Our goal is to have 7 referendum petitions signed by 365,000 registered voters by Sept 29th to get these referendums on the Nov 8th ballot.
We're requesting donations in order to print and distribute these petitions, which can be found at your local gun stores and ranges.

LOL!!! Not to be a wet blanket here, but your elected Representatives are chuckling. Chuckling at a bunch of chuckle heads.
How bout this: You stop the impotent drama, shut your mouths, start a group, get some funding, and formulate a strategy to start pulling some of these a-holes out of office and make it so. A couple of electoral casualties will get their attention.

Nowhere in San Francisco, nor in San Mateo County, it looks like. It would be good if we could download petitions.

From their web site
: Can I pickup petitions from a signing location and bring them back after they are signed?
A: Without prior arrangements, this will regretfully not be permitted. The reason is security the antis are out to sabotage our efforts and one common way to do that is by taking petitions and not bringing them back. If you would like petitions to distribute and return, please register as a volunteer and put in the notes what you would like to do. We will do our best to accommodate you and thank you for helping collect more signatures!

Your post is much funnier than anything you are
LOLing about. The bad representatives got to draw the
voting district boundaries. The petition system is the best way to proceed from here.

I did register as a volunteer - I guess I’ll wait for a notice as to where I can go.
I’ve collected sigs for many ballot initiatives and have always been able to download in the past. Many have been for prolife or profamily issues, which presumably have a lot of dedicated “antis” as well. So this is new to me. Not sure if they can get enough signatures this way but we’ll see I guess.

Has a petition ever caused a politician to lose their job? Well, don't let me stand in your way, godspeed on that petition...

Gray Davis was recalled as governor of California by the
efforts of the people including petitions.
Many voters will separate the issues from their politicians.
Notice how many Obama supporters separate him from the
issues that people hate.....HIS issues. It was the petition
system that brought forth the anti gay marriage initiative
and Prop 187, both of which were passed by the California
voters but lost in the courts.
You couldn’t stand in my way if you wanted to. Maybe
you should try the initiative system in Michigan. Your
state isn’t exactly the conservative Rock of Gibraltar
either. You should probably do some research about the
California initiative system before you do much more
popping off at any rate.

The petition not about getting rid of politicians. It’s to overturn the laws signed by Jerry Brown in June onto the November 8th ballot. This will allow the voters to decide, not the lawmakers.
That being stated, this is off to a bad start. The closest place in conservative and heavily populated southern Orange County to sign the petition is Corona, over 30 miles away. No one will drive out there.

1) "Ye shall know them by their fruits" - Well, fruits & nuts anyway. In the land of Fruits & Nuts (that would be your state, btw) politicians have little to fear proposing or passing gun control legislation. You're known by the state of your State, and it isn't a stellar beacon of freedom envisioned by the founders.
Here in good ol' Michigan, anti-gun politicians (excepting Detroit and a few other leftist municipalities) stand a good chance of losing elections on this issue. 'Why?', you ask? Because all the initiative we need is pulling these idiots out of office when possible, not wasting time signing petitions.
What ever works for you, though. I don't live in California, what works here may be different than what works (or doesn't) work for you.

Why don’t you help us conservative Californians out by
retrieving the “fruits and nuts” Michigan has sent here
that have helped to ruin this once great state? It should
help you enjoy the California grown fruits and nuts you
consume from your plate.
And, please continue to enjoy the Free Republic website
which is based right here in.......California.
