I think it is not what you surmise. It is more because Trump is the first non-career politician they have seen running for national office. IKE was the last but none of the FOX anchors except BOR had crossed puberty during IKE. The pundits are simply not familiar with a candidate who talks like everyday people.
Yep, and I worked for Ike’s reelection. Trump has the common touch. Everyday People understand him. Too bad the elites are so lost in their ivory towers where the air is so thin. Thy could learn much.
