You can run from Islamic fanaticism, but you can’t hide from it.

The bombings are not likely Muslim terrorists... Most likely it is a reaction by disaffected political parties to the very Referendum that passed on the night of August 6th. This Referendum gives the Army another 5 years control of the country. One of the political factions that was shut down by the Army 2 years ago is making a statement by trying to ruin the coming tourist season ... Which will put pressure on the Army Junta from many angles... But I am doubtful it will do anything as the political radicals are not that deeply supported by the people. The bombs are mostly fire bombs - deadly none the less...
This is why we can’t have nice things.
Religion of Peace strikes again.
Send the barbarians to Syria and let them expend their excess energies f***ing camels.
Have to disagree. Freedom fighters are not going to target innocent civilians as that will just give further justification for the continuance of military control. This was ideological, not an attack on the military rulers. Whether it was islamic remains to be seen but it was terrorism.
Is that you, Hyacinth?
Never, never make peaceful Buddhists angry. You won’t like Buddhists when they’re angry.

Jim...you out there still?
No, we haven’t been able to go health wise for the last year. Our relatives are very concerned as there is dual threat from political terrorists (red shirts) and Islam. Our nephew is staying in our house and tells us there is no friction within our neighborhood but the Buddhist / Christian mix is on edge. We were hoping to go for a while this fall to see friends and relatives, some of whom are getting up in age like we are.
Thanks for asking.
At least part if the Post list sounds like Islam. Maybe everything. There is no doubt that a prime interest is driving away tourists.
