North Carolina remains in the spotlight as home to the most preposterous arguments over not only privacy issues, but the subject of “transgender children” as well. The latest news to pop up this week was a pending decision by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System (CMS) to adjust their policies so that teachers and administrators will no longer refer to students as boys or girls.
No… I’m not even kidding. (IJR)
A CMS presentation to principals and counselors recommends kids are not referred to as boys and girls, but instead as scholars and students.
Eliminating boy and girl references is one of several policies included in the CMS bully prevention regulations.
One policy allows students to participate in extracurricular activities and overnight field trips based on their gender identity. A student who identifies as a girl would be allowed to participate in an “all-girl” overnight trip… The new guidelines also include provisions to ensure that the parents don’t get wise to what’s going on, and the staff can get in trouble if they “out” any transgender students to their families.
Involvement of parents in the plan is determined in working with the student, considering the student’s age and health, wellbeing and safety concerns.
Staff must take care not to “out” a student to others, including the parents of an older student, without the student’s permission. In contacting the parents, use the student’s name/pronoun on birth certificate unless student or parent says otherwise.
It’s easy enough to try to shrug your shoulders or laugh this off as yet another case of Social Justice Warriors running the system off the rails, but there are serious concerns to be dealt with here.

They are not students either. Technically, they are pupils. There is a difference.
The first definition of “scholar” refers to someone who has profound knowledge of a subject. The second refers to a student.
Frankly, I find it more worrisome to divide those who have profound knowledge and those who do not, than I do to simply refer to boys and girls. But then, I’m not an idiot liberal.

I think every teacher and administrator who supports this should have its head shaved and be forced to wear an androgynous outfit every day to show the students and parents what the ultimate goal is.

They will be arrested if they use the words. It will be made illegal by the thought police.
Well, to be fair, we’ve stop referring to these places as “schools”. We call them “indoctrination camps”.
They will be called, “junior citizens.”

And OMG, you stood and said the Pledge of Alegience in front of the classroom American flag and had a Christian prayer every morning.
And you sat in rows rather than at group tables where the whole table cheats off everyone else.
And you respected the teacher and didn’t act a fool in class.
And if you did act a fool, your dad would make sure you never did again when he got home from work. Wow, a dad in the house who actually worked and kids who had to own up to their mistakes and got just punishment. What a concept!
And half the girls in your class weren’t pg or had a couple of kids already.
And boys dated girls rather than other boys. Or at least they didn’t advertise it and demand all the other boys do the same.
Now, now, you know we can’t give out failing grades these days.

Asheville already is “SF West.” The Raleigh-Durham area is as Leftist as Silicon Valley. Charlotte is becoming Philadelphia south. North Carolina has filled-up with Northern Yankees and blacks who have relocated to NC from the Northeast, St. Louis, and Chicago.
North Carolina will be totally blue in a few years.
