Donald Trump ripped CNN anchor Don Lemon on Twitter on Wednesday after a heated Tuesday-night segment on Lemon's show surrounding Trump's latest controversy.
In the tweet, Trump praised Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent who is running for Congress in Florida as a Republican and who defended the Republican presidential nominee's comments from a Tuesday rally in North Carolina.
".@dbonginoYou were fantastic in defending both the Second Amendment and me last night on@CNN," Trump posted. "Don Lemon is a lightweight — dumb as a rock."

Oh, it’s Trump’s fault for speaking now, is it. When will you ever learn that the lemons of the world will never stop mis-characterizing what Trump says whether it is on or off teleprompter. They have their degrees in negative spin. Get used to it because when Trump gets elected it will be non-stop for four years.

This is just as ridiculous as when Governor Palin used those markers to indicate districts where Republicans could make gains in the election. Suddenly even the word blood-libel was antisemitic if used about anyone else than a Jewish person.

Actually Don Lemon has the staying power of a release of abdominal gas in a wind tunnel. “Lightweight” does not begin to describe his insignificance, but what the heck, CNN is not known for their high-powered and incisive inquiry into the questions of the day.
And I for one, really enjoy Trump’s tweets and love it when he hits back hard. This is one of the things that endears him to voters and he will not stop doing this.
