If one person is kept from the pits of hell it is all worth it. There are quality shows on the TBN network and millions have heard the Gospel because of the satellite. God will use anyone, at anytime to His Glory. I personally switched the channel when she was on. They used to brag that no one in their ministry made over $26k a year, they failed to mention that everyone and their dog made that amount and it added up to a pretty hefty sum. Jan was also a well-known prescription drug addict and yes, I have had dealings with them and their network since 1980.
I remember the first time I stepped into the prayer chapel at TBN studios out in Fontana. One of the strangest places I’ve even been in. In the middle of the room was a chest where all prayer requests where placed that didn’t contain money. The only ones that ever made it on air were the ones that included a donation.
Best part of all was when I was doing some on air talent stuff and overheard sexual remarks being made about me on a private line that they did not realize was left open for everyone to hear. Suffice it to say, I don’t have a huge amount of respects for this family of thieves.
What Gospel were they spreading? And no the end does not justify the means.
