The DNC email leak had already happened - DWS had already resigned. Why kill him for the leaks, even if he was the leaker? The damage from the leaks had already been contained.
I think Seth stumbled onto something that was far more important than leaked DNC emails.
The leak was not made public until 7/22 - he was killed on either 7/10 or 7/11. DWS didn’t resign until after the 22nd.
The damage hadn’t been contained when he was murdered.

In the circles of influence people are taken out not stop the leak or the breach but as a strong message and a threat to those who have even more vital and damaging information. It’s not about tying off The hemorrhaging.
It’s about threatening the lives of those who may be thinking about leaking even more.
I’m not sure why people think that it has anything to do with stopping what has already been done. It’s about retribution and threat.
