JANESVILLE, Wisconsin — House Speaker Paul Ryan should coast to reelection here despite a scare from Republican businessman Paul Nehlen, a new poll shows.
The Remington Research Group survey conducted on Aug. 3 found that Ryan leads Nehlen 80 percent to 14 percent. A minimal six percent say they are undecided. The survey was of 1,157 likely primary voters and has a margin of error of three points.
The survey also found that 80 percent of respondents found Ryan favorable, with just 14 percent finding him unfavorable and six percent having no opinion. Nehlen, meanwhile, was viewed by 16 percent as favorable while 47 percent view him as unfavorable and 37 percent are unsure.

c’mon, man. be real. speakers of the house don’t lose primaries. the cantor fluke didn’t involve a speaker, and it was more the exception that proved the rule, rather than a new rule.
the sad truth of the matter is that even boner would have won reelection if he had run. you get rid of unsatisfactory speakers by making it so uncomfortable that they choose to retire rather than endure the heat for another term. but they don’t lose elections. they especially don’t lose primaries.
Remember how they treated Palin when she spoke there for Trump in the primaries, they were horribly rude when she was making the speech.

Remington claims the poll was done 10% in the Madison DMA and 90% in the Milwaukee DMA. DMA means designated market area for television broadcasting.

Ryan's district is in the southeast corner of the state. If you look at the Wisconsin DMA map, you will see that the district is mostly in the Milwaukee DMA and a little in the Madison DMA.
