I live to close to Memphis, and their news is what I get on the idjit box. BTW we are on at least murder 134+ since Jan, most of it black on black gang bangers. And one crazy mom who killed her 4 children, from baby to toddlers. City is black demoRAT owned and run.
Oh I know all about Memphis. My family arrived here not long after the Civil War and I’ve lived in and around Memphis since the 60’s. I practiced law here, too. Now I live in Olive Branch, MS, directly south of Memphis, so I’m still in the city every day. At the very moment that mother killed her four kids I was sitting in McCallister’s on Hacks Cross, maybe a mile from the apartment complex where it happened. On my way home I knew something big had happened by the traffic and massive police presence. The violent crime is simply out-of-control.

What is so bad is that they will find her insane, she’ll go to the state nut house for a few years and then back out on the streets to pump out more babies she could kill. No punishment. It should be guilty by insanity, spend time in the nut house, then prison.
Since you’ve been around that long I assume you are familiar with the Deborah Groseclose case and the injustice that went on there. At least we bounced one anti-death penalty State Supreme Court justices. Old Birch hollered racism and kept his seat or we would have bounced him too.

I remember the Groseclose murder all too well. Her body was found in the parking lot of the old Central Library—where my mother worked. Decades ago William should have been stuffed into a trunk in August and abandoned to bake until the Lord dispatched him to his eternal doom. Instead he died in prison last year.

I’m the mom of a murdered child, Jeremy Peter Flachbart age 16, mentally and physically 12, beat to death on his way home from school behind the old ice plant in Millington in 1989 less than a block from our home. Bill Gibbons ass. AG, avoided me like the plague and plead M1 down to M2, 20 yrs, first parole hearing was just 10 months later. I forced the Perp to max out his ‘behavior time’ to the max day. Now he walks free in East TN.
This is the one we are fighting now. All state and fed appeals have run out. And Halsam is stalling. Nikki’s mom has had a nervous break down, bad health, and hasn’t the education or financial resources to fight back.

Nikki was beaten, RAPED, strangled with her own shoelaces, wrapped in a green blanket, which was then tied, by David Keen, he dumped her body into the river off the old Auction Street Boat Dock in Memphis, TN. She drowned to death. Nikki was alive as Keen RAPED her. DNA proved he did and he eventually confessed to the crime. 2 juries, up held the Death Sentence. All State and Federals Appeals are done. Yet he still sits on Tennessee Death Row because Tennessee’s RINO governor won’t sign the Death Warrant for this Child Rapist/Killer.
It’s 2016 Nikki’s mother is still waiting for JUSTICE!

I’m so sorry that happened to you. When I first read it I was about to leave on a trip and didn’t really know what to say. And even though it’s been a while, I still have no idea what to say. I can’t imagine what you’ve been through. I’m a father of three and I don’t know that I would ever get over it. I hope you have found solace in your faith. I believe in the sovereignty of God. I don’t know how the Lord has used your son’s murder, but I do know His Word says “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” God bless!
Yes, I have, HE is my ROCK. Has been since I was 14. My world has been hard rocked, I lost a 33 day old son to Cytomagalic Disease (virus like the flu), both my parents to lung cancer and my 16 year old to that sociopath.
Doesn’t mean I don’t go through periods of sadness at holidays, BD and anniversaries. But HE gets me through it.
