Trump is the pro-growth candidate in this race. Hillary Clinton is the anti-growth candidate. Trump wants to expand national income and the economic pie. Clinton wants to redistribute income and shrink the pie.
In past columns, I have equated Trump's tax-reduction plan to the JFK and Ronald Reagan tax cuts, which generated economic booms of roughly 5 percent growth per year. President Barack Obama, by comparison, has raised taxes, spending, and regulations, producing the worst recovery since World War II. And Clinton intends to follow in Obama's footsteps with a Bernie Sanders-like, left-wing policy mix. She is the Democrats' anti-JFK. What a pity.

Kudlow is always pro-Trump when he’s on the anti-Trumper John Batchelor show.
“The country could turn on a dime economically. “
Much of the economic drogue chute is institutionalized and will continue until de-funded. The EPA and a host of government regulations stand in the way of recovery. Also, taxes and professional regulation are stymieing businesses and innovation. Tax laws, professional fees, insurance requirements, government funded lawsuits, diversity requirements, all combine to drag the economy down. That is a huge structure that needs to be disassembled with axes and bombs.
Totally agree. Would not take long though.

Great.
Kudlow is a smart economist. Glad to see he is making these points.
“Totally agree. Would not take long though.”
I wish I had your optimism. Every piece of legislation, every agency, every rule, has its ardent supporters who profit by it or are employed as a result and those constituents will fight to the death to defend it. Imagine, for example trying to scale back or eliminate the EPA. The amount of NGO and covert government money involved would be astonishing. Lawsuits, delaying actions, sabotage...
Anybody who tries to change any bit of the structure will find themselves buried in an unending fight. Even changing a little of it may prove difficult or impossible.
Harry Truman said, “I pity Ike. He was a general and used to giving orders and having them carried out. He’ll find as president that people say okay but nothing ever happens.” (The Japanese call it killing with yes.)

Amen.
Trump is just the guy to do it — with the help of a Republican Congress, I hope.
If they did nothing more than bring back the Bush tax cuts and roll back the regs and EPA we would boom.
Share this with any hardcore libertarians, nevertrumpers and the folks who are still upset that Jesus Himself was not physically available to run for president of the US. Do you suppose our current candidates are His way of telling us if we don’t mend our ways, He has MUCH WORSE IN STORE? If we chose the positively and demonstrably WORST CANDIDATE of the two (you know her name), that “WORSE” part is less than a year away! Just sayin’!
If you object to the author’s title, please remember that God has, indeed, DAMNED many peoples and nations throughout history. Join me in praying that, even at this late hour, America somehow can remain off that sad list.
And if you are one who objects to my mention of the very same
“Creator” the Founding Fathers referred to in our founding documents, we’re probably already doomed.
Here endth the sermon!

If people only understood how many large family owned business are on shaky ground clinton would be at 5% and Mr. Trump would be at 90%. Hours are being cut, family salaries are being cut, Vote Trump.
Bachelor is anti-Trump? What a moron.
The last time I listened to him was during the GWB days when he called all of us who wanted the illegal invasion stopped and the borders sealed - “know-nothings”.
Never forget it; infuriating to say the least.
Haven’t listened to him since and I see no mistake was made (assuming I read you right that JB is a #NeverTrumpter).
Batchelor is definitely anti-Trump. For a long time he wouldn’t even refer to Trump by name, instead calling him “the buisnessman from New York,” in a snarky tone. And Batchelor regularly has on Wall Street Journal editors who are anti-Trump.
But I do like his segments with Monica Crowley, whom he regularly has on in the 11 PM segment.
Monica is great! Love her analysis, and her enthusiasm.
