Trump Campaign Economic Statement
Trump-Pence ^ | August 5 2016 | Stephen Miller

Posted on 08/05/2016 12:25:24 PM PDT by euram

"We are in the middle of the single worst 'recovery' since the Great Depression. Economic growth is at 1.2 percent - the third straight quarter of less than 2 percent growth. Many workers today are earning less than they did in 1970, and household incomes are down nearly $2,000 under the Obama Administration.

We have the lowest home ownership rate in 51 years. The number of workers who work part-time because of poor business conditions increased by 5.8 percent last month. 102 million people are either outside the labor force or unemployed. 58% of young African-Americans are either outside the labor force or unemployed.

We hit a trade deficit of nearly $45 billion in the most recent month (an 8.7% increase), and nearly $800 billion last year - shipping millions of jobs overseas. Entire communities have been wiped out by offshoring.

The economy the media and the Clinton Machine is describing is an economy that doesn't exist for most Americans - it's an economy enjoyed by her donors and special interests, and one suffered through every day by millions of Americans."

- Stephen Miller, Senior Policy Advisor

Exactly. Only worried about whether or not he saw a video. Or said something mean about the Khans.

It doesn’t matter what positive message Trump says from here on out. He gave the media the ammunition to marginalize him, which they planned to do all along. He simply made the media’s job easier.

Now, this is the road to victory.

Drop the trash talk and getting baited into responding to every little “slight”.

Stay on message with the economy, immigration, border security.

You need to open your eyes and ears to what the media is doing and will do with his comments. Is today’s news about the money sent to Iran or about Trump saying he saw a video of it happening? Sorry if the facts offend you.

I watched Miller give some introductory remarks the
other day and was impressed by his delivery and assurance.

I suspect that you're right. Probably, most people have their own opinions about how things are going. If a person's personal economy sucks, I don't think that he can be convinced by someone else that all is actually well. And, the converse is probably also true.

Uh, Trump has an R by his name and he’s running for president. The media will invent the ammunition if there isn’t any. If it had been Cruz, Rubio, Walker, or anyone else it would be the same damn thing. We have a 100% in the tank for the Democrats media cabal, so it wouldn’t of mattered who the GOP nominee was!

Amazing. All week it’s “shut up about Khan and talk issues”. Today comes a policy statement and it’s “Who’s listening” and “To late, he’s been marginalized”.

Can’t win for losing.

Why worry? The Election is over—Trump Lost. The ballot boxes are all stuffed. We will have our first woman president! If we like it or not. The system is rigged for the Progressive/Media choice to always will. Ask Bernie Sanders.

I think the problems settled in before Obama. It's been awhile since we've had business cycles like I remember over the decades.

There's more to this than simply blaming the last eight years.

It's correct to point out Obama's terms but it has been decades since the old days of business cycles resulting in a larger economy.

I created a "graph" from the Bureau of Economic Analysis' national income and product accounts (NIPAs) Table 1.5.2. Contributions to Percent Change in Real Gross Domestic Product, Expanded Detail (both annual and quarterly). Though crude it shows that the economy recovered and grew in the past but no longer does that. Yes we all know that; but here is a "picture" literaly backed by Table 1.5.2 numbers.

Table 1.5.2 data are there but you have to hover the columns to see the data behind the simple color and symbol codes.

scroll down to the table

The Trump campaign is preparing all for Trump’s speech on the economy on Monday.

People...even the media .... will take notice and listen.

Promise.
