Days before an ISIS sympathizer attacked a cartoon contest in Garland, Texas, he received a text from an undercover FBI agent.
Tear up Texas, the agent messaged Elton Simpson days before he opened fire at the Draw Muhammad event, according to an affidavit (pdf) filed in federal court Thursday.
U know what happened in Paris, Simpson responded. So that goes without saying No need to be direct. That revelation comes amidst a national debate about the use of undercover officers and human sources in terrorism cases. Undercover sources are used in more than half of ISIS-related terror cases, according to statistics kept by the George Washington University Program on Extremism, and civil liberties advocates say some of those charged might not have escalated their behavior without those interventions.

The texts were included in the indictment, released Thursday, of Erick Jamal Hendricks of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was charged with conspiring to provide material support to ISIS. The 35-year-old tried to recruit other Americans to form an ISIS cell on secret compounds and introduced an undercover agent to one of the Draw Muhammad attackers, according to the FBI. But Hendricks did more than make a connection. According to the court papers, he asked the undercover officer about the Draw Muhammad events security, size, and police presence, during the event, according to an affidavit filed in court.
The affidavit does not specify what the undercover responded to questions about size and security. If you see that pig [Pamela Geller] make your voice heard against her, Hendricks allegedly told the undercover agent, referring to a notorious Islamophobe.

You’re not an islamaphobe if you know what Islam is. A phobia is irrational.
If people got killed you would have never seen this report
so.....they’re claiming the shooters were victims of entrapment?
“so.....theyre claiming the shooters were victims of entrapment?”
They are dead but I’m sure this guy will.
You know what? No matter what an FBI agent texted me, I’m not going to drive to TX and shoot some infidels. You know why? Because I’m not a Muslim. Maybe we don’t need to flood our country with people who hate us.
I think there are undercover operatives on this site that try to instigate stuff...so that the Feds then have a reason to show up at your door.
Most of the shootings seem to start with multiple shooters and end up being a lone gunman these days...
The Dallas cops said it was triangulation shooting which is a good trick for “one lone nut.”
This sounds similar to what happened with the Hutaree Militia in Michigan where it was alleged that the undercover FBI agent provided access to weapons and did the planning for the crime they were allegedly going to commit.
There was a mentally ill young man in Massachusetts who started posting ISIS type stuff on Facebook. His father, a police chief, became concerned and notified the FBI.
In a touching display of compassion and professional courtesy, the FBI set out to further stir up the young man and supply him with weapons.
Looks good on the resume.
I have noticed that also. Even Baton Rouge started as three shooters. Dallas I will wait and se if the final report tells where....oh never mind, we know it won’t.
The elites want us disarmed. Can’t do it without a hard reason. Need to spark a hard reason...
A hard reason leads to Marshall Law. That brings our police, military, imported UN forces, our recently armed alphabet departments and our new ‘Civilian Security’ force to our neighborhoods. That leads to disarming.
The globalist puppet-masters’ hands are fully engaged in the needed places. We are fast approaching zero hour...
The FBI won’t notify people who are on the ISIS kill list
