Some big-name Maine Republicans won't be attending the Maine event, notably Sen. Susan Collins, whose spokeswoman said the senator "remains deeply troubled by his disparaging comments about so many people, including a reporter with disabilities and an American judge of Mexican heritage."

"Most disturbing are his latest, inconceivable statements criticizing the grieving parents of an Army captain who was killed in action in Iraq," Collins spokeswoman Annie Clark told the Daily News.

Merrill Auditorium is indeed a beautiful venue. My law school graduation ceremony was held there, and my neighbor once surprised me with a couple tickets to see Joe Bonamassa play in that venue. Another day, and another island of sanity—a new Trump Rally thread!

Two rallies yesterday, with 18,000 people in attendance and thousands more not able to get into the two venues.

No teleprompters, no chairs on-stage, no warm bodies bussed in for effect.

Today we travel to Portland,ME.

The Merrill Auditorium is very beautiful architecturally.

Looks like a huge pipe organ in the front—akin to Radio City Music Hall.

I hope Gov. Paul LePage will be there. We know the ever idiotic and treacherous Sen. Susan Collins will not be.

Good, we don’t want her stinking up the joint anyway.

Donald Trump is taking fire from the front, but also from behind as well. I don’t think I have ever seen anything like it.

Let’s not forget to pray for Trump, Pence and their families. Very powerful interests do not want to see them in DC.

But God has different plans. praise His name.

Trump has excellent instincts about people, honed by his decades in running a very large organization.

I have expressed my belief that Hillary may not make it to the end of August as the Dem nominee.

Another salvo from Assange, with continued assaults from Trump/Pence, and the big Dem donors are going to be looking for another horse to finish this race.

Hillary will develop some “problem”—cough,cough, seizure—and she will need to leave. The Dems will give her an incentive: you leave and we don’t touch the Foundation. She will make that choice in a heartbeat.

Then the Obamas and Jarrett get the candidate they really want—Joe Biden—to continue the Obama legacy. Slow Joe may be dumb, but he is not stupid, he supports everything Obama does, and is just as evil behind that avuncular facade.

Trump has not spent much against Clinton. Clinton has wasted over $45 million in attack ads that have done no good for her in the polls. I wonder if he is strategically waiting to see what happens.

Kaine is a big nothing. I find it amazing that she picked a white man to be her running mate—no woman, no black, no Hispanic—shows the Dems only pay lip service to minorities—especially the Clintons. The physical optics of him debating Pence will be akin to watching the Kennedy-Nixon debate in 1960.
