Donald Trumps spokeswoman blamed the policies of President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for the death of Army Capt. Humayun Khan, despite the fact that Khan died in 2004.
It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his life, spokeswoman Katrina Pierson said in an interview Tuesday with CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.
Khan died during the presidency of George W. Bush, while Obama was a state senator in Illinois.

Did she apologize or not?
She agreed on the point about the timeline and about Obama, but not on Clinton.
Clinton bears responsibility for sending Capt.Khan to Iraq, where he met his death.
No question.
I disagree. And it appears you do not understand the dynamics of fake apologies and fake admissions.
Are you denying that she took away her so-called apology by what she said after saying yes to the question?
He can't. Ill-considered, shoot from the hip, unforced errors are what he does, and his campaign is still littered with people who were selected because they play the same way. To compound the damage, Trump doubles, trebles, and quadruples down when he is called on something. He will still be going off on Khan, unexpectedly and inappropriately, two months from now. If he occasionally hits the right target, it's mostly by accident. He is now operating in an environment where he will not be given time or opportunity to walk back such remarks. It's going to be a long couple of months.
Might as well hope for the next set of winning Powerball numbers.
He needs someone with gravitas to tell him to shut the F%&$ up at times.
SMH.....when is it going to end?

Very risky comment here at FR. No questioning or even constructive criticism of Trump is allowed here. Even if you support him wholeheartedly and pulling for him to win, you are not allowed to be concerned or frustrated with his errors. You have to believe every move he makes is sheer genius.
I have been called a troll several times this morning already as well as closet Hillary supporter.
Yes I know the media will do all they can to bring him down. I just hate it when he gives them the gasoline to throw on him.
There is nothing wrong with being concerned/frustrated with obvious mistakes made by Trump or his campaign. The future of the country is at stake and if Hillary wins, we are done for. But if Trump stays on this course, we are going to get a Hillary presidency.
Pray America wakes.
‘”Trump and his people just need to stop talking about Khan and his father.”
I agree.
Trump insulted one man who lost a son fighting for his country.
FDR locked up and interned many men who lost sons fighting for their country.
Which is worse?

Roosevelt isn't running for president.
Trump didn’t insult anyone.
That is a media fabrication.
And while Trump would be happy to stop talking about the issue, it is Mr. Khan who keeps yapping in a pathetic effort to keep this issue alive.
“Trump didnt insult anyone.”

You are right-—I should have put “allegedly” in the post.
.
CRUZ!! It IS you!! What a honor!!!
We’re good.
I am so sick of this Khan-job.
You are proving that my previous reply to you was entirely correct.
Just say, “I wuz RIGHT!”
Never use 12 words when 3 will do.
You may as well give it up. If you’re looking for that group to ever admit a mistake or wrong doing, you’ll be waiting awhile. And it’s frustrating because that’s a huge turn off to a lot of people. A lot of “scandal” could be squelched by a simple “I screwed up, let’s move on”
For real. LET. IT. GO.
Minister khan has everything to do with this election. I am appalled to have a Muslim preach as if he is morally superior.
