(CNN)Khizr Khan on Tuesday accused Donald Trump of dodging the Vietnam War draft, and said he shouldn't have accepted a Purple Heart given to him at a rally earlier in the day, deeming it the latest sign of his inability to empathize with parents of fallen soldiers.
"You dodged the draft," Khan, a Muslim whose son was slain in the Iraq War, said of Trump to CNN's Anderson Cooper. "Put that Purple Heart back on that person's chest."
A military veteran supporting Trump had gifted the Republican presidential nominee his Purple Heart, prompting Trump to say he "always wanted to get the Purple Heart" and this was "much easier" than serving in combat.

One could advocate for either side. I think the veteran wanted to symbolically honor Donald for the political flak he has taken. But again this badge has a specific meaning and as prospective CIC, Donald would be wise to heed it. This would prevent misunderstanding.
As best I understand, Donald was a medical exemption case.
It’s interesting to me as a symbol of what Christ did, the ultimate “metaphysical” (so to speak) sacrifice.
> “Now Im beginning to see that the media would have used Khan anyway, whether Trump had responded or not”
Yup. And why it’s necessary for DT to lead counterattacks on Clinton mouthpieces.
How many years of honorable service did Mr. Khan clock up?
Trump should frame it place it in his office with a plack under it with the Veteran's name and say this will hang in the VA when I'm president as a reminder to what we owe our Vets, and as a constant reminder to be vigilant against bureaucracy that impedes care to our Veterans.
It’s really scary how democrat voters repeat everything they’re told. They sound like robots. I wonder if there are chips planted in their brains.
This Muslim F’er is really starting to piss me off.
I dont remember Con coming out and attacking Kerry for throwing his medals over a fence..
Dear Mr. Con,
Your 15 min. of fame are up!
Sincerely,
Twinkie the Timekeeper
Would this be another Kahn job?
(Im not so sure because that may have hurt the feelings or offended the vet. )
Yes and the msm would have written endlessly that Trump is insensitive to vets...
No matter WHAT he does, the msm will spin the worst out of it.
No need...
KhanMan: You choose Sharia over The Constitution
You’re the real FRAUD, punk
Would this be another Kahn job?
I am 110% for Trump. But if he can't even figure out how to handle the easy trap Hillary set for him with the Khan speech, then he will lose in a landslide.
All he had to do is say he feels for the Khan's loss, and their son was a hero, but that Hillary is disgusting for using their grief for political gain. He also should have turned around the "what have your sacrificed" question on Hillary and focused on Benghazi.
This is Politics 101. Doesn't he have advisers? Manafort is a Convention specialist. The Convention is OVER. Hire a Consigliere already! Corey Lewandowski had a better response on CNN Monday, and he was cut loose. WTF!
Pussy, shut up, you ain’t helping.
Pussy, shut up, you ain’t helping.
Trumps Selective Service number was 354. It was never called. Bill Clinton on the other hand received a Draft Notice and refused to show up before taking off to Oxford.
Put your purple tongue back Mooselip Brotherhood. Who died and made you king?
Pray America wakes
Didn’t Bubba Clinton, a/k/a Hillary’s husband, also avoid the draft and military service? I don’t think Bubba or Donald technically “dodged” the draft by being inducted and then leaving the country or staying and going to jail so as not to serve.
