No the reason Khan gets coverage is because that’s what’s on the media’s playbook that day or week. Much like in football the defense can’t tell the offense what plays it can or can’t run. The media won’t deviate from the playbook.
Trump is playing good defense and taking the play away from them. Notice the retreat by Khan (saying he wants to disengage, scrubbing his web site.
Pence handles it his way and that’s fine but Trump needs to handle it his way.
