Excellent letter. All of us, especially those of us who are Veterans, grieve with the Khans on the loss of Captain Khan. But that grief has limits and the well being and safety of our country come before any such grief. It should also be said that when Mr and Mrs Khan put themselves in a political position on national tv and attacked the candidate of the other major party, they should stop whining about being hit back. We all know they are shills now for the Democrats, have very close ties to the Clintons and to Saudi Arabia. There are not many innocents out there, certainly the Khans are not among them.

The approach Trump might have taken was to ask the DNC when the Baptist, Jewish or Catholic parents would be invited to talk about their children lost in combat? He should also mention that the Nazis would be very proud of the religious test the DNC instituted to be allowed to participate in their line up of speakers.

The grieving mother has high blood pressure and is so distraught she can’t speak excuse that the husband gave for her is total BS.. This whole issue is an example of Trump’s stupidity. He is correct on the issue, but too stupid to express it artfully enough. If he would have just expressed that as President he was going to stop refugee immigration from war torn middle eastern countries because of the high threat of letting terrorism on our shores he could have left the whole religion aspect out of it.

He could have harkened back to America’s recent past and the refugee immigrants we took in from South Vietnam to show America’s generosity. But he could have also expressed the fact that none of these people were a threat to America, indeed they were coming here to contribute. He could have even had former Vietnamese refugees speak on his behalf.

Now some of you might give me the tired old excuse that yeah Trump is not a professional politician. Yeah, well neither am I and I figured out what to say. I also don’t have a team of politicos advising me on what to say and I came up with that all by myself. There is no excuse. Trump keeps tripping himself up and can’t get out of his own way. We have the weakest and most corrupt candidate running on the Democratic side and we have our own candidate who acts like he’s trying to lose. It’s frustrating because in the end it is we, all of America that will lose.
