At least two senior Donald Trump aides were fired by the campaign Monday in what three sources described as a shakeup.
Both aides — Ed Brookover and Jimmy Stracner — had worked for the presidential campaign of former Trump rival Ben Carson, who endorsed Trump after dropping out of the race.
Brookover, a longtime GOP strategist, had been working as a political adviser. He played a role in helping to organize this month's GOP convention. Stracner, had been working as the Trump campaign’s western regional political director.

They worked for Ben Carson. Maybe that’s why he did poorly. There are a zillion people out there to help if he needs more. He’s fighting against the clinton machine and the republican machine. Trump doesnt have time to see if someones going to work out.

From what I’ve read and heard, some of the people who worked for Ben Carson should have been fired long ago. They were probably still around out of his loyalty.

Is there any indication these dismissals were acrimonious? They could just be the normal kinds of dismissals that occur as a campaign goes through its different phases. For example, I can predict with 100% certainty that Trump will lay off his entire campaign staff after Nov. 8th.
