Around 50,000 supporters of Turkeys Islamist president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have rallied in Cologne, Germany to demand his authoritarian reign continues.
The Islamist crowd chanted Allah hu Akbar! and held signs reading, Erdoğan is a human rights activist, whilst opponents waved banners insisting Stop the Erdomania!
Members of the Turkish-nationalist, fascist-leaning Grey Wolves group were among the crowd that gathered on banks of the Rhine River with the citys huge gothic cathedral in the background.
The German Federal Constitutional Court banned the live broadcasting of Mr. Erdogans speech at the rally, Deutsche Welle reports.
Some Germans reacted furiously to the huge Islamist rally in the countrys fourth largest city, and groups ranging from far-left anti-fascists, neo-Nazis and Kurdish separatists held counter-demonstrations.
One angry Cologne resident was caught on video insulting the supporters of political Islam, calling them crazy and fascists.
The security presence at the rally was heavy, with snipers spotted on a rooftop nearby, and bullet-proof cars on standby to evacuate speakers.
However, police insisted all would remain calm. Police Commissioner Jürgen Mathies said: The police here in Cologne are well prepared.
I am confident that Cologne will experience a peaceful day, however, I should be quite clear. We will immediately and consistently intervene, if any hint of violence is evident.
Just weeks ago, on July 15th, the Turkish president survived a coup attempt organised by secular generals in the army who accused him of interfering with the democratic process and Islamising the country.
Mr. Erdoğan has used the aftermath to consolidate his power by arresting and detaining more than 15,000 people and shutting down dozens of media organisations, including 45 newspapers and 16 television stations. Tens of thousands of journalists, university professors, public servants and police members have also been suspended.

I’ll posit right now, this is going to to turn into a huge stinky problem.
PING!
Who supplied all those flags, George Soros?
Erdogan’s foot soldiers once Erdogan decides to get even for The Battle of Vienna.
Caliphate coming soon.
Not all the turkeys are in Turkey, it seems.
The Kahns approve.
...HIMSELF.
That's what I posit, anyway.
It's lookin a bit more like a fuse has been lit "over there" here recently.
I also notice a severe shortage of 80% lowers. d:^|
Cologne is becoming a nightmare. My family owns property & business in the city....they also have just purchased property in New England where they now spend most of their time. I suspect that if things continue to collapse in Cologne & Germany the family will move the headquarters of the company overseas since it is already an international business. The women in the family, who grew up in Cologne, now no longer walk unescorted downtown without a male family member.
I can see a lot of Volksdeutsche fleeing for Poland, where they don’t have a Death Wish, like Merkel and Co, do.
sharia compliant?
The girls are college aged & their father does not want them downtown alone, so one of their brothers tag along to make sure they don’t get harassed. It’s not uncommon to see out-of-work Muslims on every corner leering at the girls. Cologne is a mess, and it’s getting worse.
People with money are indeed on the move. I fully expect to see the rest of my family over there to be living full time in the States in the next several years. Their company does work all over the world, so even thought they are ethnic Germans....they don’t really need to stay there & run their business.
Where’s a massive truck bomb when you need one?
Perhaps the remaining Germans can seek refuge in The Republic of TX as in olden times. My homeschooled boy is tracing his German roots from Antwerp into Texas. They landed in the middle of the US/MX war stagecoaches were hard to get due to the war. Many Germans died trying to make it to New Braunfels—it was said it was a trail of bones.
Recep the Magnificent. the Great Sultan of the Ottoman Empire
Entirely possible, but my point is that this abrupt turning of Turkey away from even pretending to be secular is a non-dislodgeable foothold of Islam in “Europe” (not really, but yes, really) that will ultimately force NATO to kick them out, at best, neutralize Incirlik, and possibly engender a war or another locus of terrorism. IMO Erdogan is being forced to choose sides and he is choosing ISIS or some other form of radical Islam.
We had Czechs settling here in West.
Also the first permanent Polish settlement in the US was in Panna Maria, which is about 60 miles from San Antonio.
