Donald Trump Pushes Back Against Father of Fallen Muslim Soldier
Wall Street Journal ^ | 7/31/16 | RICHARD RUBIN

Posted on 07/31/2016 4:29:13 PM PDT by SoFloFreeper

.... Trump issued a statement late Saturday calling Capt. Humayan Khan, Khizr’s son, a “hero,” and saying the “real problem” is “radical Islamic terrorists.”

“While I feel deeply for the loss of his son, Mr. Khan who has never met me, has no right to stand in front of millions of people and claim I have never read the Constitution, (which is false) and say many other inaccurate things,” Mr. Trump said in the statement.

...Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who ran against Mr. Trump for the Republican nomination, tweeted, “There’s only one way to talk about Gold Star parents: with honor and respect. Capt. Khan is a hero. Together, we should pray for his family.”

But Sen. Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.), a Trump supporter, defended the Republican nominee on “State of the Union,” saying Mr. Trump hadn’t spoken inappropriately. “His interview was not unkind, it was respectful, it did express condolences to the family for their loss,” Mr. Sessions said.

Mrs. Clinton took a low-key approach Sunday in responding to criticism from Pat Smith, the mother of an American killed in the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, while Mrs. Clinton was Secretary of State, who’d said at the Republican convention, “I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son.”

Mrs. Clinton responded on Fox News Sunday, “I understand the grief and the incredible sense of loss,” adding that she had no “ill feeling” toward Ms. Smith.

KHAN IS NOT THE ISSUE FACING AMERICA. RADICAL ISLAM IS THE ISSUE FACING AMERICA.

There’s only one way to talk about Kasich — with contempt.

Imagine if Trump had said, “I understand the grief and the incredible sense of loss,” adding that he had no “ill feeling” toward Mr. Khan.

Lol! Look at the Press now. Trying to contrast the mean comments by Trump with the thoughtful and loving comments of Hillary.

Have you noticed the only time you hear GOP Politicians mention Religion is when they want to justify new spending programs.

What sacrifice has Hillary made? She Voted for the War.

Wonder why when Priests and Nuns are beheaded we don't hear from Kasich and Ryan?
This is about spreading Islam in the U.S.

Ryan, Beck, and Kasich think "new blood" is good, even when it's running down the sidewalk.

Kasich is a douche.

I disagree. Douches serve a useful purpose.

Trump needs to let this one go. He responded and defended himself as he should, but there is no upside in the continuation of this battle for him.

The dems are using this family as a prop to attack Trump, and putting him into the untenable position of having to defend himself without seeming like he is attacking a grieving family. Yes the dems are playing dirty here, but Trump shouldn't take the bait and give them any chance to leverage this for their benefit. He should move on. This is not the hill on which to die.

Mrs. Clinton responded on Fox News Sunday, “I understand the grief and the incredible sense of loss,” adding that she had no “ill feeling” toward Ms. Smith.

At least the last part of her statement was true - until the Mom's comment. Hillary has no feelings of any kind toward the little people, unless they are in her way. She's indifferent to those who died because of her and to their parents. However, she'll crush anyone who gets in her way, and that probably includes the mother of the man she let die.

Kasich is a douche...

YES he is..and I'm surprised he didn't met up with the ‘buses’ and welcome them to Ohio...

But personally I bet he is worrying about the man who was accused of killing, CHANDRA LEVY, his pal gal's friend, was RELEASE FROM PRISON AS NOT THE GUILTY ONE.

WILL THEY RE OPEN THIS MURDER CASE? BET KASICH HOPES NOT.

Donald Trump did not start it with Khan. Khan started it with Trump without any basis for attacking Donald Trump.

Khan did not mention Radical Islam was the force that caused the death of his son, he did not mention that Hillary supported the war that his son died for, he did not mention that Donald Trump opposed the war his son died for nor did he mention that Donald Trump had NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS SON’S DEATH. In short, Mr. Khan is a political prop utilized to attack Hillary’s opponent. Shame on him, Hillary and the DNC.

Is Pat Smith any different from Khan in her attack on Hillary? Yes. She attacked Hillary for the death of her son because Hillary was directly culpable for what happened in Benghazi.

Trump is not responsible for the death of Khan’s son.
Hillary is responsible for the death of Smith’s son.

Then this would have died out last week.
