While a Muslim ban would fine with me, Trump has never advocated one. He is for a ban on Muslim IMMIGRATION, and a TEMPORARY one at that.

I agree with you absolutely. Every muslim is a terrorist supporter. That’s how islam still exists.
And the only Muslims there appear to be white converts who practice some kind of hippy, pagan, "coexist" version of Islam that exists nowhere in the Muslim world.

My only question is, how does this prove that we are all intolerant islamaphobes, because I’m sure, based on what the media and the left tell me, that it must, somehow.

Note how the writer (propagandist!) in the article had to struggle to discuss even the purpose of the original protest, much less to disguise the failure of anybody to attend. Even the (short) list of Muslim “celebrities” were used as a “success” - when they didn’t even attend!
Trump has never said anything about banning mudslimes. He said he wants to halt immigration from countries “infected by terrorism” until a rigorous vetting process is in place.

Well, IMHO if you are NOT an intolerant Islamaphobe there’s something seriously wrong with your perception of reality.
I commend the organizers for trying, but this shows they want to remain silent. This could have been seen as an opportunity to promote this message in the mosques, but did not happen.
Glen Beck held a rally in Washington DC back in August 2010. On that day the heat was oppressive yet the turnout was great. Estimates vary (as they always do) but 100,000 is probably pretty close to the actual number of people there that day.
Of course the media didn't point out that the attendance was particularly good given the intense summer heat. the media only reports what it wants to report, or not.
A huge rally like they expected would have been a big target for ISIS. They were scared.
I think if significant groups of Muslims want to send a message through their ranks to stop the terror deal, then two simple steps would be enough.
1. Dump all dead Muslims from these acts into the sea. No proper burial...no ceremony...nothing.
2. Mandate that a system of elders take over each mosque and put the religious guys out of managing the ‘business’, the money, and the outside operations. If some shenanigans occur at some mosque....arrest the elders and hold them responsible. Then shut down the operation permanently.
This fear of retribution among their membership ought to be what the journalists hype about....that even they are under a threat.
