I suspect that he is getting different advice from different people. Maybe some are telling him to solicit contributions and some are telling him not to solicit contributions. As of right now, he doesn't seem to want money. That permits us to send a bit more to lower level candidates who can't self-finance.

Yep. Couple that with the mind boggling amount of voters easily swayed by the last sound bite they hear and, yes, it is a concern.
Election after election the insiders have controlled the political process.
Consequently we have had globalist/establishment/RINO candidates forced on us as the only alternative to democrats.
The republican strategy has been to provide an establishment insider candidate not quite as distasteful as the democrat insider.
Then they tell conservatives and constitutionalists that we must take the best option for America - To just hold our noses and support the lesser of two evils.
Now, for the first time their strategy failed and a candidate from ouside of the establishment clique, one they do not own, has emerged.
So, rather than take the advice they give to us - To take the best option for America, they will do their best to slap down the insurgency and defeat the outsider.
Thay would rather see a democrat insider win than lose their control of the political process.
We have to articulate it’s us vs. them. The elite won’t even pretend that our votes matter any more if hillary wins.
We can do it!! Don't make Romney's mistake (??? if he wasn't throwing the election) of assuming that there are people who can't follow the reasoning!
