Sesame Street is brought to you today by the letters F-I-R-E-D.
Three beloved human characters from the 45-year-old childrens show have been given the Sesame Sweep. Bob the music teacher, Gordon the science teacher and Luis the Mr. Fix-It, played by Bob McGrath, Roscoe Orman and Emilio Delgado respectively, have all been axed.
They let all of the original cast members go, with the exception of Alan Muraoka who is probably 20 years younger than the rest of us and Chris Knowings, who is also young, McGrath, 84, said at a Florida Supercon Q&A on July 2.

Just axing for a friend.
The are all going to be replaced by nice Indian actors from Bollywood. ;-)
Probably being replaced a a transgender, gay and lesbian
That’s too bad. You’d think they could let them stay on a few more years to retire on their own.
To be replaced with LGBTQ millineals
Who are the people in the jobless line
in the jobless line
in the jobless line, oh
Who are the people in the jobless line
the people that vote Dem each time
(hopefully not this time)
To be replaced by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Tim Kaine, by mid January ‘17.
the actors are getting old and I am guessing that it actually was a painful decision. remember the TV show has been on since the 1970s over 40 years...
To be replaced WITH Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Tim Kaine.
I remember Sesame Street.
Brought to you by the letter A. “A” is for “axe”, which is what happens to a poor actor when his character has been around for a while and the writers can’t think up anything more to write for him. “R” is for “replace” and “O” is for old. Once an actor gets to old, kids, he gets replaced by someone younger who the marketing team thinks will reach a wider demographic.
Take it away, Oscar — “Bob and Luis are in the trash heap along with me!”
A depressing show. Kept alive by govt gravy.
Bob McGrath sang the theme song by Joe
Raposo as seen in some “test shows” from
1969, now on YouTube. Then a chorus of kids
sang it.In 71 he performed “Sing”,
another Raposo tune that 3 yrs later
became a huge hit for Carpenters.
Orig is also on YouTube
Oops 2 yrs later
But the show is now going to HBO which means anti American themes will rule the day.
