Shattuck: All of a sudden DNC cares about cybersecurity
The Boston Herald ^ | 07/28/16 | Tom Shattuck

PHILADELPHIA — You would have thought it was a global cybersecurity convention this week instead of the Democratic National Convention here at the Wells Fargo Arena.

It is certainly heartening that the multitudes of Democrats walking around have such deep knowledge of computer forensics and counterintelligence. What’s even more remarkable and fortunate is that their principled and learned grasp of the issues developed just in time for the WikiLeaks hack of the DNC

Obviously the Democrats are by now scared to death of email scandals and it shows on their faces here in Philadelphia. Not content with their desperate, nonsensical deflections from how the DNC treated Bernie Sanders, Democrats and their media partners have conjured up a new popup proclamation: that Trump is asking the Russians to hack a former secretary of state.

“Treason!” they cry, in their newly discovered passion for email security.

Relax and enjoy your convention, Democrats. Even if those 30,000 emails are leaked, they’re just silly notes about Chelsea’s wedding and yoga, right?

What did Trump really say? That if the Russians have those emails they should turn them over to the FBI. And if they can find them for the FBI, the help would be appreciated.

If there’s nothing compromising about the e-mails, Democrats should want to welcome an open and transparent investigation, right?

Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Democrats are scared to death of those 33,000 emails because many of them are related to the Clinton Foundation and its financial shenanigans. And when those emails prove Peter Schweizer is right, Hillary's campaign is DONE.

The only thing we need to add to this toxic brew of paranoia over at Hillary’s campaign/DNC (the emails prove they are one and the same) is a really good mole hunt. Nothing is more corrosive to efficiency and morale than a good mole hunt.

It wasn’t just that poor guy they whacked who was going to the FBI. He was a Sanders sympathizer. Trump has his own operatives inside their organization and they are pros. Trump’s uncanny knowledge of how to immediately respond to their every move is proof of that. And it’s not just one guy, it’s several.

You got moles in the yard, Hillary. They have betrayed you. All of them. You better find them and punish them. Don’t ever think you’ve got them all. You might miss one right under your nose.

heh...heh...heh...

Trying Desperately to Close the Barn Door after the Theft.

I imagine Hillary has been trying to do it for quite a while now without success.

The DNC accused the Russians of colluding with Trump in the release of e-mails on a system with no security. Then they get outraged when Trump sarcastically calls out the irony.
