Actress Sigourney Weaver offered a dark picture of the world’s future during her speech at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night. In her remarks, Weaver warned Americans that if we don’t act to combat climate change, doom is imminent.
The DNC then aired a video featuring Weaver as the narrator.
“It’s happening now,” Weaver says in the video. “The droughts, the record heat waves,” etc.
“This is not something we’ve seen before,” she claims. “Our children are at risk.”

She is speaking to a crowd who loves to kill children.
They should welcome her delusional message on climate change.
You could do away with abortion clinics. Just let the climate do it for you.

Because they want a ‘religion’ to commit themselves to and right now man-made Global Warming is the hot ticket. It gives them the chance to wrap themselves in a mantle of science to disguise what has quite obviously become a religion, otherwise they wouldn’t literally be attempting to outlaw the free speech of “climate change deniers”. Religions prosecute heretics, science doesn’t.
In the 60s and 70s and 80s they had their choice of The Population Bomb, Pollution, No More Nukes or maybe a nice crackpot maharishi from India. They even had a brief fling with The Coming Ice Age which offers some amusing irony.
Sounds right. Need to have some higher calling that eclipses everyday life of big houses, expensive cars, exotic vacays, great food and diamonds galore.

I have often wondered the same thing. A while back I became involved in local theatre. Nice, nice folks. Extremely talented and ultra creative as well. But all except for maybe one or two, liberal.
I think ultimately it’s how our brains are wired. For some reason it appears that most highly talented and creative people like actors and artists lean politically to the left, which is feeling based.
This is the Darkest Convention Ever.
They should turn off the aircons at the convention tonight, just to show their commitment to the AGW hoax.
Which have been happening forever, unnoticed except locally, and will continue to happen as long as we orbit the sun at a slightly variable distance. Now that anything that happens anywhere is known worldwide within hours or days it only LOOKS like a problem, and only if you subscribe to an agenda.
What a bunch of hypocrites. They can fly around in their private jets and air condition their thousands of square foot houses and keep crying about climate change.

Agree. Emotion-based people go left/liberal/progressive/Democrat because those groups pander to emotions.
I've tried doing a simple logical progression with some 'progressive' acquaintances and saw their eyes glaze over and they became visibly bored. Then I asked "What feels like the right outcome?" and they liven back up and tell me what ought to be.

So, saddling our kids with 20 trillion is debt is just peachy but having them live in the same climate every other kid has lived in since the begging of time - well, that’s just beyond the pale.

I used to think that they could not think but they could follow a script and then I saw list of Hollywood actors/ actresses that had IQs of 140 and above.
The again, something can be said of common sense intelligence.

And who assigned the IQ numbers? Even if true, I’ve known and worked with more than a few PhD’s who are YUGELY lacking in an form of common sense. Guess they’re too smart huh? LOL!
