I doubt that.
Maybe we’ll find some new BFF’s, like Hungary, whose president, Viktor Orbán, has openly endorsed Trump (first leader to do so) and has also protected his country from Muslim rapefugees (which he’s gotten crap about from Western European elites). Btw, Hungary is now the only country left in Europe that I still have a desire to visit.

Do they? In Syria they aren't fighting against ISIS, they're fighting against everyone who is opposing Assad and ISIS happens to be a part. If ISIS dropped the fight against Assad then would Russia be going after them?

I really don't know. That is what negotiations are for. It does seem clear to me that Europe is not pulling its fair share. They spend a miniscule percentage of their GDP on defense, far lower than we spend.
But Trump, as recently as last Sunday, was talking about the European countries actually paying the U.S. for defending them. I assume that would be his position regardless of what percentage of their GNP they spend to defend themselves. I think they will want to know ahead of time how much it will cost them.
Yes. Russia is going after ISIS and anti-Assad forces. We need to also state that we do not support the removal of Assad. Afterward, we need to set up re-settlement zones and send all the damn Muslims back to where they belong.
Yes, Trump has talked about setting up safe zones. Last week he was talking about getting the Gulf states to pay the costs but I assume he'll use U.S. troops to take the zones and protect them.
Sounds like a reasonable plan to me. A Marshall Plan for the Middle East after the war.
One would think that Steinmeir would love Trump then. No Republican candidate since World War II had been so supportive of getting closer to Russia and improving ties than Trump has been.
That Russophile Steinmeier prefers to Hillary “reset” Clinton to Trump should be your best clue that the alleged campaign season Trump-Putin bromance is nonsense.
What bothers the Euro elite about Trump is that his focus will be on America's advantage and not her contribution to some imagined globalist "greater good." He isn't one of the believers, one of the team. And "leaders" who placidly contemplate the tearing up of Germany and German culture in the name of a transcendent European society are bound to be dismayed at the notion of an American President not similarly inclined.
