Except that the last couple of shooters were wearing body armor.
I have read several articles recently advocating all head shots vice “two to the chest, one to the head.”
One of the Dallas cops actually got a shot at the sniper, but the sniper’s armor protected him, and he was able to shoot the cop.
I am going to spend more time working on head shots on my next trip to the range.
Just a thought.
It defiantly takes you out of action for a bit and two will take the wind out of you even if the gun was not a very powerful one.
Even with body armor two to the chest will make you an easier target for the one to the head.
Part of the problem is the weird way cops are expected to respond. They are taught not to turn the guy into Swiss cheese which is fine when you are dealing with your average D&D. But dealing with an active sniper is an entirely different story and your shooting should be different as well.
I was trained by active and former military, (pre-PC days) and I was told that I should always make sure never to leave even a possibly active enemy behind me.
So I am a bit more ruthless then even the police probably would be.
