I also suspect that Trump believes that as president he will be able to fire and/or severely punish any bureaucrat that attempts to thwart his agenda. He will need to be able to do that if he is to effectively implement his policies.

No, he wasn’t bullied. He reneged on his promise to support when he signed the pledge. He was invited to speak at the Convention, speakers are traditionally there to support publicly the nominee. His career is ruined, he will be remembered as a liar. At the beginning I was in his camp, I bought the carefully orchestrated persona...soon my eyes opened to the reality of his character.
