Moscow (AFP) - The Kremlin on Tuesday dismissed allegations that Russia was behind a hack of the Democratic National Committee's emails as absurd, mocking what it called obsessive references to Russia in the US presidential campaign.
"This absurd news was immediately refuted by the family of the well-known presidential candidate," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists, referring to Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.
"We are still seeing attempts to obsessively use the topic of Russia during the US electoral campaign," Peskov complained.
"Unfortunately Russia is being used in the electoral campaign in the US. Unfortunately this traditional game is continuing.
"We think that's not very good for bilateral relations but we understand that we need to get through this unfavourable period."

But if it is them, and if they release the 33,000 "deleted" Clinton emails...or very juicy stuff from the Foundation...I still say we'll owe them a statue in Odessa Harbor.
The Russians care about themselves.
This hacker CARES about criminals, treason,
and so far has more credibility than ALL of the MSM
and ALL of the lying Uniparty.
Russia hacked the DNC, but for goodness sakes they wern’t the only ones to. lol
I found it too absurd to comment. While my spokesman is correct, I'm still enjoying it. You can't take Americans at face value."
Now, I’m thinking it was them. If they had proudly taken credit, then I’d know it was someone else.
The same Democrats who are adamant that the Russians hacked the DNC’s email server are the same Democrats who insist there’s no way the Russians could have hacked Hillary’s private email server.
Maybe they did maybe they didn’t. The U.S. has interfered with other country’s elections and governments for years.
But this doesn’t address the fact that the emails showed conclusively that the democrats rigged their primaries against Sanders and his millions of supporters.
The emails also showed that much of the “news media” is simply an extension of the democrat party propaganda service and is not to be trusted.
The emails also showed that the democrat party is engaged in a pay for play scheme where political donations are tied to political appointments, which is blatantly illegal.
The Russians or whoever would have no reason to hack into the democrat email servers if there was nothing illegal or unethical going on there, but as it turns out the democrats are just a bunch of crooks.
As long as the information is genuine, who cares where it came from? Dems just don’t want to hear the truth, so they’re deflecting the blame toward the hackers. It’s astounding how the truth takes a back seat these days.
It’s not who hacked them...It’s the fact that they exist and have been verified by the Dems.
[so theyre deflecting the blame toward the hackers.]
It was rich how they were saying that the hackers were “manipulating” what was written in the emails...
Meanwhile, according to the same Democrats, Hillary’s private State Dept server was not hacked by the Russians or Chinese or Iranians. /sarc
Democrats are liars.
The Russians didn’t write the e-mails...
—Reince Priebus RNC Chairman
hee hee... good point
you know, that is a helluva good point too
If they DNC had run out screaming that all these emails were FAKE and created by someone who pretended to have hacked into their server- then this news cycle would have had an entirely iferent spin
But they know they are not fake and started running scared.
There really is no way for the hackers to prove they are real. Someone could easily create emails and pretend they hacked them from a server.
Indeed masters of spin and friends of MSM.
The best quote I've ever heard from that cat.
He's finally on the right side of something. d;^)
I’ll take the word of the Russians over the DNC’s any day of the week.
That is a great line by Priebus ... “the Russians didn’t write the e-mails ...”
