The tale of the thieved emails at the Democratic National Committee is just too good to be true.
For a year, 74-year-old socialist Bernie Sanders has been saying that, under DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the party has been undercutting his campaign and hauling water for Hillary Clinton.
From the 19,200 emails dumped the weekend before Clinton’s coronation, it appears the old boy is not barking mad. The deck was stacked; the referees were in the tank; the game was rigged.

Your quoted article excerpt I think has it right. It makes sense that Putin would be very happy with the first openly Socialist candidate for the presidency to take the Democratic nomination. THAT might be what we are looking at because don’t forget, they stole Trump’s oppo research file too.
If Hillary’s campaign ends up having more email bombs dropped on it, we could have a new Democratic nominee by the end of this.

Putin aside, the substance of the emails proves that top DNC staffers conspired to sabotage the Sanders campaign.
Wasserman Schultz is forced out, but Shrillary embraces her performance, calls her a dear friend, and immediately installs her as “Honorary Chair” of the national Hillary Clinton campaign.
Thus, Hillary OWNS what as been revealed as the sordid doings of the Wasserman Schultz DNC.

It seems to me that the DNC emails just confirmed what anyone with any sense at all already knew: that the two parties do their utmost to rig the elections for anointed candidates. The DNC's plan was to have all (fake) opposition to Hillary at the Martin O'Malley level: ignored by media and PACs and relegated to single digits in polls. Bernie actually winning some states and getting a mass following wasn't part of the plan.
Similarly, the RNC and its PACs tried to rig the game for Jeb Bush from the get-go (when you have a candidate spending 50 million per delegate, you don't even need to hack a server to know what's going on). Unfortunately for the RNC, a charismatic and self-funded billionaire crushed that crooked political machine under his wheels.
The propaganda ministry has already done its job. Rather than talking about the real issue here: how the DNC rigs elections, they're talking about who leaked this information. Who leaked it and their motive for doing so doesn't matter when the information leaked is so obviously damning, but thanks to media spin, that's not what people are focusing on.
Like I said on another board, imagine this scenario: you steal a car. Someone films you doing so and sends the evidence to the police. When you go to trial, you demand the evidence be ignored because it was filmed by someone who hates you personally, even though the film is perfectly legitimate. That's the shell game that Hillary and Wasserman-Schultz are playing here.
